Imagine you are five kids, who inherited 50 million dollars from your parents, each of you got 10 million dollars each.

The wealthy one in your midst will be the one that used his own money to build value producing assets (e.g factory, companies). And it is only a matter of time, the others will spend all their money if they didnt use well. Or a farmer with cattle that makes money selling milk. The milk generate cash, but the cow is the factory. Got it?

So to make money, you need to stop selling your time (like getting a job and working for a fix salary), and start something that will generate money for you even when you're sleeping.

Well, I made money by investing in stuffs.
However, for me, it's a lot easier coz I've got no wife or kid. So work, invest and ensure that your dependants are not more than your income.
BTW, making money is a continuous process. You don't stop.

You can be rich working for others. Steve Ballmer, Tim Cook and
Sheryl Sandberg are examples of those that got rich working for others. Not everyone can be entrepreneurs and people can actually create value working for other entrepreneurs.

The secret is a tremendous amount of common sense.
