How have Yoruba Muslims spoiled your life?

If you have issues balancing your heritage, customs and traditions with your religion, your problem not ours.

Does these celebration has anything to do with the Islamic festive period called ileya? Always celebrated after ileya and all I can see in the pictures are traditional calabash.

The people that sponsor it
The richest ijebu people are all Christians
So this is nothing more than cultural although it's after Muslim festival
All the people that sponsor the festival are Christians

It is actually paying of homage to the ijebu monarch by ijebu Muslims.

It has been expanded to include all ijebus regardless of religious faiths but the original date of the third day of ileya is still retained.

Note that the religion of the reigning monarch doesn’t affect Ojude Oba

It's done during that period because the ijebus living In other states will come to their hometown in that period, I think the reason Ojude oba was fixed on that day.

It would be far better if we can replace those foreign religion festival with our indigenous festival.

Yes. History had it that Balogun Kuku, a very strong traditionalist in Ijebu ode accepted Islam on the third day of Ileya. So on that day, people were happy dancing and celebrating Balogun kuku acceptance of Islam. Since that day, the third day of Ileya festival have been a day of celebration in Ijebu.

And later translated to Ojude Oba.

I'm answering the picture you posted. I feel really sorry when people post things about the Bible they don't understand. There are so many things wrong with that picture. The difference between Yesuah and Jesus is the difference between Moseh(hebrew) and Moses(english). To purport that they are consequential is misguided. Bible means a collection of books, scripture is that which is written. To say they are different shows a lack of basic understanding which makes education necessary which I have just done. Even though I don't always have that time. You're welcome

Nope u got all this history wrong
In fact the oba almost became a christian but for one reason
And do u see anything Islamic in this festival
The people sponsoring it are ijebu Christians
Richest ijebu people are Christians same with remo land
If Christians stop sponsoring it,where will they find money
If u know the amount the ijebu billionaires pump into this
