There was a time that I would have picked snapdragon without thinking twice about it.

But now that Exynos, HiSilicon Kirin and MediaTek have all stepped up their game it's really hard to say.
I guess it depends on the price range of the devices these chips are in.

High end devices? Probably Snapdragon. ( Though I read last year that HiSilicon Kirin was at that time the best mobile Chipset in existence)

But Midrange devices these days? I think that's MediaTek's territory.

The Adreno GPU is Snapdragon's not so secret weapon, without it Snapdragon doesn't have much over these other chipsets.

A snapdragon midrange chip, is 15% better than a highend mediatek chipset.
There is a big difference between "manageable" and 'awesome".

They were in the market for that before but do not have the resources to keep up with Qualcomm and co. in meeting consumers' demands.

If it is not snapdragon soc then it is a no no no.
Cant use a chip without devs support.

Chip sets won't matter if the device isn't optimized
Some phone makers just jam up this hardware and sell as phones
Whether Mtk or snapdragon or exynos if the device aren't optimized ( hardware and software are not compatible or not 1 in 1)
