On this day in history, Thursday, August 29, 1963, a mammoth crowd of about 250,000 people stood outside the historically significant Lincoln Memorial in Washington as Reverend Martin Luther King Jnr said the iconic words “I have a dream”

That significant speech in history caused some major changes like the creation of the popularization of the Civil Rights Movements and the passage of the Civil Rights Act in 1964.

The gathering and march on Washington was not just a revolutionary action, it was a turning point in American history as it brought so many people together irrespective of their locations.

It is interesting to note that the passion many showed made them conquer long distances as a boy known as Robert Avery, a 15-year-old at that time, had to hitchhike to cover the 700 miles between Alabama and Washington.

The march also got the attendance of celebrities such as Harry Belafonte, an actor and singer, and other sensations in Hollywood.

With the way celebrities gave credence to the movement, President John F Kennedy’s worry that the march could turn violent was lessened.

Though that iconic speech was delivered half a century ago, it has not stopped resonating with people, political and social movements across the world.

In 1999, a panel of scholars ranked the speech as number one among the best speeches delivered in the 20th century, which just goes to show how very important the speech is.

In all this, it is important to really know who Luther Kings is and have a preview into what his life was during his time.

He was born on January 15, 1929 with the original name Michael King Jnr in Atlanta Goergia. He died on April 4, 1968 in Memphis Tennessee.

The activist was a Baptist minister who championed the civil right movement in the US from the mid-1950s till his death.

It should be noted that his advocacy very much contributed to the ending of segregation of African-Americans in every part of the US.

He later became the head of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. He was given the Novel Peace prize in 1964.

And the person who was used to fulfill the prophesy ended up promoting homosexuality in US. Fighting against Africans appears good because of misused opportunities.

And rightly so because they are stupid and refuse to emancipate themselves from mental slavery. Black Americans are the ones holding themselves down with their foolish way of thinking. Just have any interaction with most of them and it won't be long before you start asking yourself what kind of fools are these? I speak from experience
