Effiom Bassey Effiom a.k.a Effiom Trombone is a highlife performing and recording artiste of Cross River origin.

He was born on August 29th 1979 into the family of Chief Bassey Effiom in Ikot Ishi, Calabar Municipality.

*Education
He studied at Hope Waddell Training Institution, were he learnt and honed his musical talents, before proceeding to The Polytechnic Calabar to study Secretarial Studies while pursuing a career in music.


*Marital Status
Effiom is happily married with 3 kids.

*Discography
In 2011, he dropped his debut album 'Eyen Calabar' following the success of the title track and hit single 'Eyen Calabar' which shot him to fame and stardom.

He is currently promoting his new single 'Ikwo Calabar' with plans in the kitty for a video.

*Career
Effiom Trombone heads the biggest live band in the state, the South Central Band. He is former Chairman of Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) Cross River State Chapter, an association he ran to the admiration of the national executive of the union.

Effiom has also served as the secretary of the Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria (FTAN) Cross River State Chapter.

In a bid to recognize the efforts of musical talents and celebrate them, he founded the Paradise Music Festival and Awards, the reverred award which is in it's 5th edition and handled by his South Central Communications, a registered Nigerian event and multimedia company.

These and more earned him awards and the trust of the Cross River State government, that they have for years now he has been saddled with the responsibility of Stage/Artistes Management of the annual Calabar Festival.

He is also the Leader of Ayade Band, responsible for the music needs of His Excellency, Sen. Professor Ben Ayade at state and personal functions.
