I work in a company where I am paid 35,000. I had to put up with it instead of staying idle.
Recently my boss reduced my salary to 20,000. I know my worth and value but I had to continue instead of being idle.
The issue I have is I apply for different jobs and I am called for interviews, but my boss finds it very difficult to allow me attend interviews despite the excuses I give her(excuse of sickness, family issues etc)
I don’t know how long I’m going to cope with a 20k job because I am living from hand to mouth.
What can I do pls?

My sincere advice is that you resign from that job. Your self-esteem is being undermined already as your boss may reduce the salary to 10k next. Until you resign, you may not get a better job. If I may ask 'what was the reason for the salary reduction? What is your qualification and field of study or line of job?

Brother pls resign. Some jobs, can tie somebody destiny. Can u imagine no, no chances self.

That's good. There are lots of opportunities for you to get other better jobs. One thing I know is that no (wo)man willingly let go of a person s/he benefits from/takes advantage of.
