The main lesson here, don't go to another man's country to show off.
Igbo people like showing off.
South Africans are jealous. White people beat sh!t out of their lives and displaced them for years.
You were chilling and flexing in your Nigerian village.
Now that the storm calmed down, you now travel to their land and start flexing? Un top all their sweat?
My friend, chill out and park well.
Do your runs QUIETLY. Carry your money and go.
Don't play loud music or dress extravagantly. Do not attract attention to yourself.
Better still, go to the White people area of South AFrica.

Igbo people like showing off? There must be different Igbo people, because I know there are some in whatever country you are in now. How do those ones "show off" to you, or you don't happen to be the "jealous" kind?
That reason you gave up there hardly exists within Nigeria, except in places and conditions where there is political benefit in conflict-e.g. before the civil war in the North, and Lagos, before elections. Else, "show off" and aggrandizement will quickly 'belong' to another cultural group and become a thing of pride.
Stay woke, sir.

I go to church here in Lagos. Church is meant for everybody right?
Yet the choir, the pastor, the …. the choruses and …. are all Igbo.
It isn't a specific Igbo church O.
I went to same church in Owerri. Of course, that is Igbo land. So the whole service was 100% Igbo. No big deal.
I went to same church in Akwa Ibom during my NYSE. Everything was Ibibio, 100%. No big deal. It's their land.
I attended same church in UK, when I went to do my masters. And British people dominated 100%. Its their land. No big deal.

So why is it that now I go to the church in Lagos, STILL Igbo people dominate everything?
I've been attending various branches of this church all my life.
Someone even told me once, that "If you want this church to "move", make sure Igbo people are there".

It's as though once Igbo people come to an area, they just unknowingly silence other tribes.
The other people are totally unwelcomed there, and ignored.

Explain this one to me.
(I better not say the church name).

Some words are meant for mature minds not for babes.
Gilgil:

If you don't work hard to achieve a goal, all the words in the world would not achieve it for you.

Try this:
Every morning, don't brush your teeth, rather declare by words that your mouth is fresh and clean. Do this for 1 month and see how powerful your words are and much creative ability your words have.
Thank me later!

Hmmm. There's much that can be said about your experience, but notably, it can be countered by other people's similar, but polarising, experiences. Personally, I have observed this reason/ excuse of show-off to be one people's word against another group. Hutu-Tutsi, for instance. This "they take our women" and are "show-offs" because they have "taken our jobs" is getting too much. I was born and grew-up in a region of Nigeria where this was also used against a more numerous tribe. Adaka Boro also stated as such in his "12Day Revolution".
I feel certain that because many Pentecostal churches in southern Nigeria are headquartered in the South-West, there will be perceived biases in any appointed leadership of Southwestern origin in out-of-location branches.
There.
