Nigerian Highlife legend, Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe passed away in America on May 11, 2007, at the age of 71. Chief Osadebe was a native of Atani in Ogbaru local government area of Anambra State in Eastern Nigeria. He was the leader of Sound Makers International Band. The band had many best selling hits such as Iline n' Agadi Nwanyi (vegetable and old woman), Makojo (No matter how bad), Osondi Owendi (Some rejoice, some cry), Onuigbo, Ogazi and other memorable songs.
