In October 2017 some unknown men threw big stone and bash the glass windscreen of the main locomotive pulling the train hoping the train will stop but the driver didn't stop. It's only a matter of time before they will device a way of robbing train.
The only advantage of using the train for now is because they carry mobile policemen when VIPs are among the passengers.

Being able to rest and relax on the train is more convenient than having to worry about traffic, accidents or kidnappers. It is certainly convenient.

If standard rail line was first built between East to West and vice versa heavy passenger flux, money generated from that within four years would have been enough to build many standard gauge rail lines from Abuja to many northern towns.

The same way NITEL wouldn't have crumbled if digital telephone exchanges were first built in the business towns of Aba and Onitsha to generate money to build digital telephone exchanges in those small northern towns that got digital exchanges before Aba and Onitsha

Policemen in Nigeria are only busy guarding politicians, fraudsters, clerics and people with questionable characters.
It is the job of policemen to comb that axis, conduct surveillance and arrest the situation but they are afraid to die.
I was in lagos airport this week and i was amazed seeing 4 policemen guarding e-money
