My hairline is receding and I am just 22. This started six months ago when I was sick so I decided to go shave off my hair and go bald. It was after this, that I noticed my hairline was receding and a friend of mine recommend that I used minoxidil and my hairline will grow back.
I have been using minoxidil for four months and I have noticed some hair are growing back but I need fast results.
My questions is has anyone experience hair loss and were you able to grow back your hair?
Please I really need advise on what to use to grow back my hairline.

U are not alone. Mine started at 25. I'm almost 30 now.That thing can be so depressing. There's is little u can do about it cos it's genetic. Forget about all this medication,99% don't work.The key is delaying it when u notice it early. How? By minding the kind of hair cut u have.Avoid skin cut and very low cut and sharp carving or don't even carve.For me I carve it myself. If u love ur Afro, just trim it down, don't allow those barbers use any step. Barbers will hasten the receding and even balding.They are ''wicked''. Mine is receding in front and balding at the centre. How did it start? During my service yr I noticed my hair growth was slowing down & receding so I decided to have a low cut so my hair will be even. Omo, that was how I lost my Afro forever. Baldness set in. I never had even hair growth even at that low level till I finished service. When I got home, my siblings laughed me to stupor. That was so depressing. But with the stress of service over, I started regrowing my hair but never like before. Today, I now cut ponk instead of Afro low cut. I used to 'barb' every 2-3 weeks but I do that now every week so as to hide my baldness. U hardly know I'm balding except u are balding too.
Check ur linage, if ur father,uncle or older cousins are/is bald,then u are not far from it.
These things can hasten ur receding hairline and balding
1.type of hair cut
2.stress
3.diet
4.relaxer (if u must use it, do it once in a while and don't allow it too long in ur hair, otherwise avoid it totally)
5.environment
Please don't mind guys that will tell u to rock skin cut. Hair on a man's head adds to his handsomeness.

Minoxidil is probably if not the best hair regrowth oil in the world currently. However you might have to continue using it as you will lose all your gains once you stop. And yes, it requires patience to see results.

You might also want to consider hair transplant/grafting which of course does not come cheap.

In all, if the above two options won't suffice/achievable, my advice is to work with what you have. That is, always keep your hair low, that way it becomes less obvious or embarassing.
