The problem of Lagos is the unfortunate influx of strangers and criminals who had invaded the city in pretext of looking for job. Despite their ingenuity in trading business, they settle to bring all their people from their clans to engage in transport business without understanding the culture of Yoruba people to be courteous and respectful. They are actually the main problem for the government. 7 Likes |

The last time we had a governor was in 2015 under Fashola.. Ambode was not good but this Sanwolu is going to be worse.. It is starting to show the governor is only on seat to serve his master and not Lagosians. All his noise about road rehabilitation and repair is just noise and so much hot air . Imagine driving daily on smooth roads from lkoyi, 3rd Mainland bridge and all only to be stuck on inner roads like WAEC, Jibowu, Fola Agoro, YABA Tech junction for almost an hour! Don't even get me talking about the states of the canals and drainages in Lagos which seem to have been abandoned since Ambode tenure.. Lagos is in real trouble next raining season l swear 1 Like |

This criticism applies to all Nigerian states and the FG. There is less fiscal room available to spend on infrastructure due to increased debt burdens and public sector wages. When people say Fashola was effective, that can only be justified by reference to his first term when the minimum wage was N5,000.00. With the almost quadrupled wage costs and increased debt (some of it foreign-sourced when the Naira exchange rate was N155 to $1), there is barely anything left to fix roads. People refer to corruption but it is no worse now than 10 years ago. We need to stop focusing on personalities and focus instead on the policy environment. 5 Likes 3 Shares |

greenguy:Tinubu was richer than any of your state in the East except Port Harcourt as at 1999. Check the records and ask Orji Kalu. Tinubu was a Chief Executive in Shell many years before joining NADECO and actually funded them to fight ABACHA to a standstill. Go and find out many assistance your ex Governors Achike Udenwa, Nnamani and Ewan Everem received from Tinubu before becoming Governor in your erosion-ravaged Eastern states. You should ponder why are the fellow Easterners flooding to Lagos to better their life The answer is as good as you can guess. 3 Likes |

Carkeyng: I was optimistic to read until I got to Fasola's criticism and Ambode's commendations. The fact is that Lagos is far better compared to what is obtainable in some other states, Northern states aside, pertaining to road network. Fasola's first term in Lagos transcends any other governor. How I wished all governors can be dumped at the end of four years. It seems second term is the bane of governance in Nigeria. If any road would be constructed at all, it cannot be this raining season definitely. 5 Likes |
