The Olu Epe, of Epe Kingdom, HRM Oba ( Dr.) Shefiu Olatunji Adewale Bamgopa Eshinl Okun 1, has appealed to Lagos state and federal government to pay more attention to the tourism potentials of the kingdom, saying this can bring about national progress.

The royal father made the call on Friday during a ceremony to mark the beginning of 2019 celebration of the Kayokayo Festival.

He called on the government to pay more attention to the celebration of Kayokayo Festival as a way of preserving Indigenous cultural heritage now and generations to come.

Oba Bamgopa expressed the readiness of Epe Kingdom to make available massive land to the development of tourism sector which he said the ceremony is positioned to advance.

He revealed that Epe has a robust economic value in terms of fishery.

According to the traditional ruler, Epe is surrounded by water, insisting that the people's live can be enhanced if fishery is given the needed attention.

Does Olu have right of ascendancy to Eshilokun? If so please explain.
