Dude, this is untrue. Lying to ourselves doesnt solve anything. A time might come when a network overtakes mtn, but as we speak, mtn tops all networks on terms of assets, innovation and spread.

That is the home truth.

That’s not true. I have never uses MTN before and the Network I use is more than 100% better than MTN

Airtel is ahead of MTN.
Bros, make we tell ourselves the truth...mtn is far ahead of airtel in all ramification.Dstv has no competition because your leaders have huge interests in these South African companies.Your leaders don't care about the lives of Nigerians living in South Africa....what they care about is their selfish interest.

You can only boycott what you have an alternative to. In Nigeria who is competing with DSTv, even in the telecom, other brands are still miles away from MTN.

To worsen, matters, even the poor no longer patronize the kiosks in their neighbourhood but root for ShopRite. The list is endless.
I disagree on the mtn part, airtel is almost better if not better than mtn.

Thank you bro, have replaced my mtn line with glo. I enjoy good data plan. I get value for my money. 1.5gig of mtn does not last me for one week. Since I changed to glo, my subscription expenses has reduced. Let patronise our own, glo is not bad. Airtel also has better plan.

Is there an option to dstv

Thomist

Startimes is fast catching up. I couldn't believe my eyes the last time I say their picture quality. They also have some really decent contents and affordable.

Last time I visited my village, two things stood out. Most people were now using cooking gas instead of kerosene and Startimes was everywhere. Those guys have completely displaced DStv in rural Nigeria. Remove football n DStv will crumble.

If Startimes want to collect football license from DStv. I swear to God their Government will right then the check. Better fear Chinese money. Same way Huawei now controls our telecommunication which was before held by Ericsson.

I use glo, and my glo has never dropped 4G service in any part of Lagos even while in transit. Might be d phone tho.

Even that of shop rite, Nigeria owned most of it.

Look at those ones arguing that M Thief Hen is the best network in Nigeria.

In every location in Nigeria they're usually two networks that work faster than each other, just choose one over the xenophobic network.

Thank God it's 9mobile that works best in my area. Am boycotting everything South Africa except DSTV.

Why except DSTV? Is there no Startime in Nigeria.

I disagree Sir, I use both NTEL and Spectranet and I am far better off though they had their challenges. The truth remains that DSTV is nothing than a repetitive cable network... You need to see how other cable network works, that's when you will know that they are scamming us in Nigeria, no fresh or new content, its GI-GO

You don't seem to get my point.. I agree they scam us and that's coz we let it. That being said, truth is, dstv don't have competition in Nigeria, those u mentioned are streaming channels, it's different..

If ntel and spectranet were well, you'll not need yo use both. Let's face reality regardless.. The mediocre services local brands offer are usually what makes people look at the foreign brands- and they are usually better

Say NO to tribalism, hate speech, wickedness, nepotism, tyranny, bloodshed, looting n xenophobia! !!

The only difference between DSTV and Startime is premier League.

I still have my mtn sim but it's for receiving calls as I ve not recharge it for over 2months now. I use glo currently for calls and internet and I can confirm confidently that glo network has improved since 3weeks ago. Now I can browse from my bedroom which was totally impossible a month ago

Guy, I don't use MTN. Your not using MTN does not in any way invalidate their market leadership.

We should not always be annoyed with the truth. MTN is still keeping a good lead in the telecom industry

Sir get tye message; our penchant for anything provided it is not made it distributed by locals just to show off is our greatest undoing as a nation.

Do you asked why NYSC has to import the the gears for corps members instead of buying them within the nation?

Or why our DISCOs resort to importing prepaid meters instead of patronising the ones manufactured in Lagos?

Or Senators will import utility vehicles for instead of going for Innoson brands? The list is endless

You're right but our major problem is not the foreign companies that exploit us but our government and bad governance. Where is HiTv, where is MyTv where is Dáarsat, is O'net still functioning. Two years ago we have been hearing about a particular digital Tv that promised pay as you view has it commenced normal operations?

Nobody says MTN has the best network but simply that MTN has the highest number of subscribers
