Inna lilahi wa inna Ilaehi Rajiun

It is with heavy hearts that I, on behalf of all members of this section and NL Muslims in general, send our condolence message to one of our own own, Ustaz Lagosboy, over the death, few days ago, of his loving dad.

Lagosboy is one the most valuable contributors to this section and one of our knowledgeable brothers and teachers.

We pray almighty Allah forgive Alhaji's short comings and admit him into al-jannah firdous.

Our heart goes to you, our brother. We believe you will find your strenght in Allah at this trying period.

With wet eyes i write this because i just dashed in on NL to see how the section is going n donly to see this thread by chance.

I am very grateful to all for your duas and support messages. I do appreciate it and may Allah in his infinite mercies have mercy on his soul and bless him, grant him forgiveness and expiate his sins by mercy.

I was very close to him, he prayed jumah on friday, joked with people at the masjid , the imam said he gave some sadaqah to the masjid, and he saw he giving sadaqah to the less privileged. He died later that evening friday after asr and before maghrib.

May Allah expand his grave , illuminate it and grant him wonderful and blessed companions in the grave.

Jazakallah khair to all and may Allah forgive all the dead muslims

It is Allah who gives life and He who dictates when it is time for life to end

Ibn Majih and Baihaqi quoted that a Muslim who condoles another Muslim in his sorrow Allah grant that condoler the best dress in Paradise

Sorry to hear that, Lagosboy.  It sounds like he was relatively young and vital.  No one knows when it is their time to go. 

May he rest in peace, Insha Allah.  And as we say in Lagos, Baba Lagosboy, Sun re o.  ma je kun, ma je ekolo; nkan ton ba n je l'orun ni ko je.

So sorry to hear about this. death is a debt we all owe.

May Allah let us die as Muslims and count us and the dead Muslims among the inmates of jannah.

lagosboy, take heart. You have a lot to be thankful for. Your dad was a muslim, died on a friday, wasn't ill and giving you guys the trouble of looking after him, etc etc. Alhamdulilah.
