... when foreign language is impose on people without mind connections, their creativity suffocates and decline and that result to fight for independent.

For the consciousness of nationhood of Nigeria going beyond papers to hearts and minds of Nigerians begins with making NUL official. Our land have been decolonized since 1960 but our minds are still colonized by the system that was set during the colonial era. We are living as foreigners in our own lands.

If a foreign language was imposed on us by the British to get us into a relationship that is favourable to both of us, would it not be sensible if we Nigerians use some of our indigenous languages to make a strong-tie within our territory “Nigeria” for the sake of our unity, social-economic value and reduction of conflict among various tribes?

Over 120 million persons out of population of about 200 million persons speak Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba. We need to decolonize our minds and “encolonize” our minds. “Encolonization” is a process whereby a sovereign state promotes one or more of their indigenous languages to official languages in order to promote unity, reinforce political stability, promote social-economic values, reducing the rate of tribal conflict in order to
promote peace among various tribes and languages in the spirit of nationhood.

Of what good or benefits has our plenty languages done to us as a nation?
We need answers ………………. Are we not earnestly protecting what does not promote unity but promote disunity among us?

We are only protecting our language from extinction in the name of our culture at detriment of our nationhood instead of using our language to raise our potentials that is lying dormant. The purpose of ...
