Shadows everywhere under a sunless sky
Voices of serenity in my turbulent waters
Unlit flares in every dark place
An unreachable sky, yet I feast on clouds
I drink of waters from rains
Beating daily on fields without lush and parched

Fortuity seems to be with me always
I excel in tests unwritten with eyes closed
Rhythms come out perfect in chords totally broken
Mirth springs forth in dog days
Sad songs are heartwarming in melody
Chaos is so desirable around so much sugarcoated warmth

Why can’t there be riot among this bliss?
Where does one find lack in so much prosperity?
How do I drain the river of abundance so sinful?
When do I caress the storm in this sunshine?
Or sate the craving of heat in this beautiful winter?
Did the world go mad, or did I disconnect?
