sowore has been in the news for revolutionnow for a decade now. I pray he's set free in the Dss cell. meanwhile, Here's a Sowore, 22 years old undergraduate leading the students protest against the military on June 12 annulment.
Many of today's Mumulectuals and humbled slaves defending oppressors were common rats back then too.
Sowore isn't a flash in the pan.

In Africa, as long as the government favours you, they don't question jack. All they are good at is seeing the downfall of their neighbours just so they can be better than you.

We are receiving ourselves with the claim of running democracy but in actuality, it's dictatorship.

Why are we complaining about the government and the system we implicitly support. We hail the highest bidder; we don't fight for our rights; and nobody is willing to go to jail or die for the country. All we can do is argue and dab from the safety of our phones. While people like Sowore and Kanu rise up but are jailed, their supporters become scarce to find.

I'm guilty of the same.

The young of Europe and the Americas fought the establishment to create the developed countries we're seeing now.

This rebuke of Nigerian fears by Fela still rings true, and until we're ready to fight, we can't enjoy what other countries are enjoying.

My people self they fear too much
We fear for the thing we no see; We fear for the air around us
We fear to fight for freedom; We fear to fight for liberty; We fear to fight for justice; We fear to fight for happiness
We always get reason to fear:
We no wan die; We no wan wound; We no wan quench; We no wan go
I get one child; Mama dey for house; Papa dey for house
I wan build house; I don build house; I no want quench; I want enjoy; I no wan go
Ah!
So policeman go slap your face
You no go talk
Army man go whip your yansh
You go they look like donkey
Rhodesia they do them own
Our leaders they yab for nothing
South Africa they do them own

On this count right below. treasonable felony

Note the word intention. You don’t need action. All you need is to have the intention to remove a siting president unlawfully.

It is different from Treason. Treason need action and not only intention.

Nnamdi was not a problem to govt until 2015 so he didnt need to hide; he was a totally unknown figure until 2015 when Buhari won the election and angered Igbos.

However, Nnamdi's more popular predecessors pre-2015 like Uwazuruike of MASSOB and Onwuka of Biafra Zionist movement, go and ask what happened to them under OBJ and GEJ.

Bokoharam started becoming 'bokoharam' in 2009. They may have existed as a little harmless sect or prayer group prior to 2009, but it was in July 2009 that they perpetrated their first act of public disorder. So I'm not sure I understand where you got your OBJ link from; how do people just manufacture baseless stories and logic from thin air? undecided

Meanwhile regarding GEJ, so many of you making these comments here were either just unaware of political happenings prior to 2015, or you just chose to develop amnesia. I dont need to start digging through Google to bring up cases of arrests and clampdown of media houses.

on your claims on clampdown on media during gej's time, every one knew that gej was the most abused president in the history of Nigeria.

Quite instructive. Today's Nigerian youth can't be so socially responsible. Dude's been doing this a long time, the rot in the system is enough to drive any such sane mind nuts.

Like I said, bokoharam was never a threat to public order, not until 2009 when they started taking arms and attacking police stations. So please tell me, why should a peaceful, insignificant, impactless group which posed no security threat to the public be a source of concern to any president at the time?

Regarding IMN, they have been labelled a security threat well before 2015 and YES, even under GEJ, they were clamped down, arrested and murdered extrajudicially by security forces in 2013/2014. In 2014, Elzakzazi's sons were murdered by soldiers who attacked their home to clamp down on the group. So please go enlighten yourself before you come online to make baseless claims.

About GEJ being the most abused president, by all factual standards, Buhari the 'dullard' has since overtaken that record. Tell me one lie against GEJ that also hasnt been peddled against the current govt? And yes, Buhari's regime may clearly be intolerant to criticism, but even the so called gentle GEJ's regime also lawlessly clamped down on dissident media houses on several occasions, there are numerous cases on that within a google search away, go figure! That people are more informed (thanks to social media and cheaper internet) and louder in their criticism of govt today, that doesnt mean the nonsense we see today started today.

Just like I said before, a lot of you were only 'born' and started paying attention to Nigerian news only post-2015; so its no surprise you dont know any of the above.

but there is picture of buhari and elrufai meeting with el zakzaky prior to the 2015 election.
implying that while Jonathan was clamping down on the movement, the opposition were romancing with the enemy of state.

What exactly is your point sir?... You're losing me here

You claimed bokoharam started in 2003 but OBJ ignored them (a baseless claim which i couldnt even fathom its essence). I disproved that.

You made another false claim that IMN was never disturbed or attacked by previous administrations, I proved that again to be anothed false claim.

You claimed only the current admin has gone after the media lawlessly, I puntured that baseless claim again.

And now here you are, saying Buhari and Elrfuai met with IMN leader, please kindly help me out here, what exactly is the point you're trying to make?... Are you just struggling to create an argument?

Under OBJ and GEJ, Sowore has always been a thorn in the flesh of every government. The only way he's managed to evade arrest is because he has stayed away in exile since 1999.

Nigeria has a very porous border, even an elephant cant be smuggled in and out of the country through cotonou.

point of correction Buhari's election did not anger Igbos because Igbos don't care who is the president. all they care about is how to make more money from their business and how to increase prices of goods and services to make gain.the only time Igbos will complain abt govt is when u make policies that affect their business.u should understand how the Igbo people reason.
