Your password can be hacked but they can never change ur phone number. You still have a chance to recover ur facebook by using ur phone number to retrieve the account.

Stop misleading ignorantly...u need a verification sms code to change a phone number. Unless the hacker has custody of the owners cell phone to receive this verification sms code...that Facebook acct is not 100% hacked. Or another side of this mess could be the owner of the Facebook acct ignorantly registered the Facebook acct with only his email...without linking his phone number (very lackadaisical and lazy). Facebook wouldn't be childish to allow users change registered email or cell phone number without some sort of verification code via email or SMS.

You can add another phone number to an fb account. That implies that you can receive sms notifications on these two phone numbers. Then you change the original owners password, he will actually receive the sms notification with the confirmation code but you will also receive the same message on the phone number which you have added. You enter the confirmation code, change the poor guy's password and go back to the account settings and remove his phone number .

FB is poo, I left fb after discovering their flaws. But nothing is perfect tho. Just hope that guys no remember you.

I just confirmed you are correct...I used my facebook account as a case study. I added a new secondary phone number and easily successfully deleted my primary number. I'm sorry I doubted you. Facebook should do something about this number flaw
