It seems you don't know history bro. Gowon released Awolowo from prison you know and due to the political climate at that time, it is in the interest of the west for Awo to remain neutral.

Awolowo was neutral in the war .....so says Mr history

For the record we would ...for the record we have

The first mayor of Enugu was a Fulani man ...so whats ur point

We are fulani slaves .....which tribe always have disgraceful end after partnership with the north ?

Lol we are talking about premiership and leadership of a whole region and you're talking about an inconsequential mayor.

@your bolded question, the tribe that have a disgraceful end after partnership with the North is the Igbos, let me tell you why:
The North betrayed Azikwe by killing scores of Igbos between1966-1970 and they brole Azikwe spirit that made him renounce Biafra.
The North disgraced Igbos in 1983/1984 when the jailed Ekwueme and freed Shagari, Ekwueme was disgraced by being placed behind bar.

If we hated Yoruba's so much why did we vote OBJ ...it seems u don't even see my point

So what do you expect from Igbo's in 2023

U want Igbo's to vote south west in 2023 ? And why
if you had not voted Obj who else would you have voted? Falae, another Yoruba man, ain't it? You had no other option, your hatred was still in open as you still aligned with your fulani master to vote who they choosed over the person yoruba choosed instead, so you see your life?

this your last paragraph sweet my belle die. This is what i have been advocating. We become so backward because of this useless one Nigeria. With the pace Ibadan was fast developing before this useless one unitary useless one Nigeria, it should be competing with cities like Mallorca, Barcelona, Paris and all buh look where we are today, look what have become of our lands, it has been left to ruins. Fashola was frustrated the other time that he had to deport ibos back to their villages because they've invaded Lagos and it's hindering development. Just look at Lagos not being able to compare successfully with Jo'burg as this new age. It's shameful. I wan every yoruba person to have this spirit, let's save our fatherland before it will become total ruins, we have to do this for ourselves and our unborn generation. Go to badagry and see potentials of a very good carreabean lifestyle buh the road that will even lead you there might even lead you to other life because it's so bad all in the name of One Nigeria. Nah, enough is enough. We must leave the useless country and drop the useless identity, it's time we pick up our right identity.

God bless you bro. I even have it in my archives some of the investment of Awolowo in Lagos then, they always try to project Lagos success as a influence of the Nigerian capital while negating the effect of Awolowo investment in Lagos itself. Lagos was made before they (Igbos) infiltrated it because of the economic opportunities it offers to the average Nigerian.

i really feel bad for what happened to them as a tribe buh sometimes one have to be undecided about the result of their hatred and short sightedness.

This is why since then they've been trying to create such atmosphere for Yorubas forgetting we are not educated to be stupid even in 93 when everything was so heated, we got over the situation victorious.

Zik like many African rulers had a major character and integrity problem. At the root was his self-concept or self definition(the way one sees oneself). He saw himself in his own words as a "Beautiful Bride" for the highest bidder as well as indispensable.

The former executive president of Nigeria, Alhaji Shehu Shagari, a mild mannered man captured it well when he told Zik during the 1979 election campaign: "when you switch husbands one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight times, you are no longer a beautiful bride but a harlot." Zik was a weather vane-go where the favorable wind blows.

A "Beautiful Bride" mindset is exactly the opposite of the leadership mindset. In 1954, the Sutton-Foster Inquiry found Zik's conduct below what was expected of an honest and honorable person. He also has Black neocolonial/elitist mentality like many African rulers and political class.

Shagari describing ZIK, perfect description.

Sadly, the same is still the case in the SE, no principles, no convictions, no sense of direction or self-worth.

awolowo only put zik in his right place. It was greediness that made a man leave his land and try to contest from another mans land, same greedy habit you his kinsmen still exhibit till date.

And there was no position ever headed by any ibo by any merit, ibo was never educated like Yorubas then, it was Zik plan of taking over Yorubaland buh God of Yorubaland ejected him forcefully.

This also confirms the Igbo slave status. How will a party co-formed by Ekwueme not deem the Igbo fit to contest for presidency position for over 20 years?

Reason: They see the Igbos are slave and easy to play coz you guys let emotion cloud your thinking.

sure, a slave have no right to hold grudge against his master. If Awolowo had not done what he did, the war will linger on and prolly all of your fathers would have been exterminated from the surface of this earth buh helped forced Ojukwu to surrender so innocent people can stop suffering. Ode. Go embrace your master, it's nothing new. Even after the war, you returned back to them so wetin come new for there again.
