There is this skin problem I have Been having on my face for quite a while now ( since my secondary school days) and it keeps coming back every year after it seems to have disappeared.

I was told by a lot of people and chemists that it is eczema but it doesn't seem to respond to all the treatments I have used on it including a lot of facial creams and soaps, it also seems to me like eczema but right now I don't know what it is due to its persistence.

It has all the symptoms of eczema. Doctors and skincare experts in the house can you help me with a solution to this problem, thanks

How is your diet...the cream is not going to work if you dont eat well. do you take a lot of oil, and fried food? what about fruit...

Is this thing only on your face or on other areas like your back, crook of your arms...

If you think its eczema, do you have any other allergies..or asthma..do you get easily sick/irritated by dust/cobwebs/flour...

Have you tried an emollient wash/cream? like cetraben, e45

If it comes back around the same time every year, do you mean during the cold months? When it goes away again and your face is clear, do you notice any other improvement anywhere else in your body...?

What is the source/quality of the water that you use to bathe... if the water is not too great, do you disinfect with ***a very small amount*** of dettol before bathing..

How often do you change your bedding and what detergent do you use to wash it...do you dry your bedding in a nice environment...?

It actually just looks dry and scaly...rather than pimply/inflamed...do you drink enough water...of good quality...?

It seems that you dont grow a beard but if you do, what do you rub on your face to shave it...

It started in your teenage years...your hormones are a part of it..plus some other factor...does anybody else in your family like your dad or elder brother have this...?

Have you always lived in the same area? When you move to a different town/place with different weather...does it still show up...?

After thinking about it it seems to be something to do with the weather + an added sensitivity from your own body. Or else something that you do every year that brings it out again...maybe a particular seasonal food you cant tolerate

Have you actually visited a doctor for this problem before...? somebody needs to examine your face up-close wtih a full history, and an explanation of your health and lifestyle before they can come up with the answer...

Just try and see a dermatologist don’t try to use google cause you may end up thinking you have HIV I am speaking from experience

Check if any of your parents or relatives have the same skin. I don't see it as a big deal, you may also change soap . You can use Toilet soap like lux or those infant soap.

Get neem oil, you will be surprised how fast it will fade away...

First of all make sure you practice a good hygiene.

Bathe morning and night with medicated soap you will be fine..

But first good hygiene.. And also use only Vaseline on your skin.. Don't complicate things
