Hello NL!
I really don't know what else to do. I ventured into selling Designers Shirts online. Since I don't have a shop, I resorted in advertising the goods on social media platforms using a paid AD.

But I don't get any reasonable feedback. I've spent 30% of the Good's money running ads but yet nothing. I can't continue like this.

I call on to anyone who trades on clothes or likes wearing designers shirt, to help me in this business.

The material is of a good quality and the designs are very cool.
I sell one shirt for as low as N3,500.

I can send you pictures of the clothes if you are interested.
Thanks in anticipation!

Sorry but this is why I advice people not to listen to all this people talking about e-commerce like it's easy.. u may never recover ur capital... Bur I will advise u change ur tactics.... No one will want to buy just because he saw an ad online... U must also become a fashion authority or influencer as it is called....
Show pics of famous social media personalities praising ur brand... Pay people to advertise to their followers.. and be engaging... Not just filling ur page with pictures of clothes.... And u need realistic photos not ones that look like they were pulled off the internet....

How long have you been advertising? You must be consistent in anything you are doing. And why did you start with paid ads when you can do something like you just did to preserve your cash? There are many ways to advertise without spending your capital.

Lastly, is selling your clothes your passion? If your YES is EMPHATIC, then stay and be consistent, but if you are not sure of the ans, then quit. Do not do business base on sentiments.

Thanks. I always think selling online will be faster and easier.
I just believe that the business is lucrative, viewing from my location and demand. If at all I could get people who would constantly order for the shirts.

Operating a business online in Nigeria is very difficult, due to our bad reputation. People won't even patronize you if there's a physical alternative.

Sorry op. There should be a way around this... Selling fashion items via paid ads isn't 100% recommended bro - this is because they're items people can walk into the nearest boutique, market to get for themselves.. They prefer offline shopping for wears than online ... Women even buy more of fashion items online than men....

What pictures are you using to run adverts? Don't tell me it's this picture you attached to tmyour post oo cus its quality is extremely low.

Did you try Instagram ads?

Thanks. But I use real pictures
Like ask someone to where them... Take pictures and upload it on social media and link to you....
U can also tell ur family and friends to advertise 4 u... Why I said use real pictures is because from the picture you uploaded on the thread it looks like what you saw on an ecommerce store.... Like u sell to Nigerians yet we can't see nigeriNig that are using it... Also try WhatsApp and message testimonials to improve credibility... Just a way of saying I can be trusted anf I deliver on time....
Remember it takes time to be profitable... Just continue what ur doing

Thank you so much. I even wear most of them for adverts sake. But they just compliment and never return to buy any.

My input;

1. Clothes are among the least of items men buy online.

2. Cost of delivery on non-luxury and readily-available items have also contributed to the apathy. It may not be a rational idea to buy a clothe of N3500 and pay N1000 or more on delivery. While bulk buying may help mitigate rationality issues, bulk buyers are largely those with intent of reselling to individuals. Now considering (i) cost of your clothes, (ii) availability of branded alternatives, and (iii) the fact that your products are unbranded (I mean, you made them yourself), some buyers may lose interest.

4. Nevertheless, don't be discouraged. You only have to target the right consumers with the appropriate channel. If you're selling a shirt for N3500, then make it better than some of the photos I see in your previous thread. I mean, how do you upload a shirt with poor camera, one you didn't iron or package nicely, for N3500?

Your competitors have top-notch graphic designers and photographers that are ever willing to woo buyers. Some competitors don't wait for buyers, they visit offices, public places, etc. So a mix of online and traditional sales channels won't be a bad idea. If you don't have the right capital for a top-notch brand, then strictly focus on traditional sales channels. Trying to convince online buyers with a word-of-mouth approach is very conflicting.

In sum, I think there's a lot you can do to record better results.

Don't be depressed bro. I sell online too and I get reasonable amount of orders daily. Your mistake is selling fashion items. I sell items that you can't get in the next store. Sell unique products. Spend more time doing product research.

I’m an Ecommerce merchant who run Facebook paid ads every day with profitable results...

Here is the secret...I import and sell goods that aren’t available in Nigeria market.Which make different people place orders per day.

Don’t give up bro....You only need to go back to the drawing board and restrategize

Though when I first started,it wasn’t a tea party.
