This particular topic was discussed in my church on Sunday, but one thing I noticed is that, those who married in 70's, 80's, 90's were of the opinion that money should not/never replace Love in marriage while the youths were of the motion that money can/should replace Love in Marriage due to the economic situation of the country..

Most of the 70's, 80's said they had nothing when they married their wife and the love was till intact.
One man even said he had only one plastic chair and a bed on the floor when he marry his wife but the youth seems not to agree, especially in present Nigeria situation..

So guys, what's your take on this..
Should Money replay Love in Marriage??

Love is important in a relationship but Money is importanter.
I love you will not put food in the tummy neither will it pay the kids school fees.

Hahahaha.........the man saying he had just a chair and mattress when his wife met him got me laughing. Hope he treated her right after things got better in their marriage, because so many ladies who sacrifice marrying poor men are always treated poorly when he becomes rich. Anyways, money should be replaced with love if a partner does not appreciate your love. Better to turn to money and the kids to get happiness.

I believe that there is no need for such comparison about money and love as they both play important roles in marriage.
Love is very important in marriage, money is also important in marriage. How will a man take care of his family without money; how will a marriage thrive without love.

What I perceive to be an issue with the present generation is the belief that a man must be very comfortable before marriage and I think this stems from the fact that many men don't stay loyal to the women who stood by them in their days of little beginning.
Also, many of the women of this generation are so money conscious that they don't take a man serious if he doesn't have much going on for him financially.

In conclusion, money is important, love is important too.
Young men, marry a woman who believes in you and your dreams; stay true to her when things begin to fall into place for you.
Young women, marry a man with dreams( realistic dreams), encourage and stand by him. Don't be carried away by big cars and material possessions. There are always better days ahead.

If as a guy, you do not so some certain things for your girl, someone else will.. Forget about love
