Ex Manchester City midfielder, James Miller has taken his time to remember his ordeal with defenders nightmare Lionel Messi.

Milner a victim of one of the best nutmegs in recent times, has always been on the receiving end of Messi's mesmerising skills especially when he was at the Etihad. Now a Red's player, still recounts some qualities that makes the Argentine the best player on the planet for almost a decade.

In an interview with BT Sport the Liverpool star confessed that Messi's quality and ability can "make you look stupid."

Reflecting on Red's victory over Barcelona in the previous champions League semi final He said:

"The first game wasn't a fair reflection of the game, but you know, football isn't fair at times.

"And when you've got that guy (Messi) on the team it is very hard to run as fast as you can with your legs closed as I've found out.

"He can make you look stupid.

"The free-kick he scored, the player he is means it is always going to be tough."
