Wonder-shall-never-end see jealousy in nairalanders comment. How can you compare a UK university to a Nigeria university. No Nigeria university is in top 200 institutions around the world yet you say a third class degree holder in Nigeria can be levelled against a first class degree holder from a UK institution. But you want hustle hard make your child attend one school for UK. It this not jealousy and hypocrisy.

No one is talking about ranking which is what u talking about. Folks are only saying its easier for a Nigerian or anyone to get a first in d UK than in a Nigerian public school

Look closely at the certificate:"Bachelor of laws with, Honours First Class" - either the certificate is fake or the university authorities don't know the basic rule of placing comma. Again, how can a university worth the name award a Bachelor of Laws "in law". Do you award Bachelor of laws in any discipline other than law?

No shades, but when I interpret that result in my department on a Nigerian 5 scale point grading system, it will come down to Second Class Upper

Facts don't lie. If it was in naija I would have said sex for grades or she paid for the grade. So confirm she got brains.
Is she beautiful? To me, she's hot!! Indeed very beautiful.

Bros keep calm and process what this guy wrote you will know his statement is not far from reality.
Given time and chance every Nigerian student has the propensity to reciprocate this in a system that works going by decaying social amenities where Nigeria students still strugglexists to stay relevant on a daily basis.

Bros for get that, Nigerian universities are not meant to groom / build students for research, innovation, and creativity to solve national or global problems . Nigerian university graduates are trained to have and showcase one paper document called certificate.

Exactly! If she had schooled in Nigeria she would have struggled to graduate with a 2/1. There are good universities in nigeria with excellent facilities, but the distractions abound aplenty. Imagine a brilliant yoruba lagosian studying at unilag - s/he must attend endless owambes by brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, friends, friend of friends etc. Tell me how s/he would concentrate on her/his studies.

Can she win an argument in court?
No!
You don't corrupt the court only with money, but by other means.
When she rises up to present an argument, simply have someone arranged to switch off the air-conditioners, within minutes, she will ask for adjournment and the presiding judge will agree.

Yes u are right...but do u want to know what really results in the majority of third class? Its attitude...

The attitude of many third class graduates will always give them the same result if they still take that attitude overseas....
And yeah their are exceptions

Top 200 you say? No naija school makes the top 1000 in the world.. before they weren't anywhere near the top 3000

UK is worse .. some guy came to my office .. studied in UK .. cannot do anything.. I was just wondering if he really studied the course .. was taking lectures from a quack and could not spot anything wrong.. shm wasted money
So you use just one person to judge the whole system? How foolish you are.

I can bring a first class graduate from a Nigerian university who isn't that good and conclude that all Nigerian schools are like that

You are not informed any Nigerian student that can't do a first class abroad is a dunce. Forget that rating
That's the truth hate it or love it
Yet you Nigerians haven't contributed anything meaningful to the world..

Why you can have a first class there "easily" is because of the great minds around. Free flowing lectures with splendid professors. Cool AC blowing into your brain so tell me how the book no go enter ? Unlike here where we have mediocre professors and sub standard educational system.

Be deceiving yourself, I have both studied in Nigeria and USA, you can't compare an associate degree in USA with Master degree in Nigeria. You that you never leave Nigeria you are making delusional comparison.
How Nigerians really reason can be baffling atimes. They keep saying it's easy to make this and that abroad... You can only acheive such if you work hard and the UK educational system is designed for you to work hard and use your brains.. you on your own part wouldn't even want to burn the millions of naira (equivalent) you are paying as school fees so you gat no choice than to sit up. No Nigerian university is even among the best 1000 in the world yet see them running their mouth like tap.

In Queen Mary University? You're joking.

This is one of my former Alma mater. Them been nearly kill us with work. Every week, we had 4 serious pieces of homework to submit, all of which count toward your final grade. Each piece of work was like 2 to 4 hours of work.

Some Naija graduates cannot even form proper sentences. They would die in QM.

shutup! Did she invented anything new

Getting a first class in European or American or Canadian or Australian or even Asian university is very easy if you devote few hours of your time everyday to study and do the assignments your prof assigned to you.

Its not a big achievement bagging a first in a foreign institution, what white folks are more interested in is research, invention and using their brains and skills to create solutions to global challenges not doing your easy assignments and writing exams based on what they taught you, where lecturers want you to pass, unlike in Nigeria where lecturers and professors only derive joy when you fail or get a low grade in their course so you can come sort them or Bleep them like we have been hearing, so stop hailing her cos most Nigerians schooling in Nigeria will graduate with first class abroad if given the opportunity to travel out to study abroad.
Why are you jelo

Lol are you guys just follishly hyping the Nigerian educational system or what? Same Nigerian schools where students bribe their way through for grades, where employers complain there aren't employable, no Nigerian school university is even recognized in the world except for let's say unilag and that's even because it carries the name "Lagos"
Nigerian schools are quack and mediocre, non are even among the best 1k in the world before it used to be between 2k and 3k yet you're hating on someone who made a first class in a top 50 ranked university.

If you're in the UK or wherever, boy you'd be forced to sit up and read and use your brains. You on your part even want to waste the millions you've invested so you have no choice. Lecturers are good, every thing is standard, no lecturers hating or picking on you because you didn't greet him or you're dating his crush. So tell me why things won't work as planned ?

Oga shut up .. I have real life experiences .. not 1 not 2 ..

I don't have "real life experiences" I am speaking from a bubble located in Mars.

Some of you are so insular with your contrived views that you can't seem to accept any view that differ from yours but helps to broaden your perspective.

With the way schools are run in this country, you dare not compare it with schools abroad especially the UK were standards are high.

In conclusion, you've made no point.
Your life experiences are just self made nothing else.
