You're cheating yourself. Get a new MTN Sim specifically for browsing.
For the first four months you'll be given 1,500 for 9g. It's actually 1500 for 6g but the they give additional 3g to be used within a week. They also give lots of free Airtime too.

You're welcome.
so what happens after the first 4months?

The love I have for airtel ehn....

Their 20k plan gives 110gb. That's equivalent to 5.5gb for every #1,000.

A smart person will find cash and buy that 20k plan once, then keep rolling over every month with #1,000.

So, for each month, (if you always watch your data usage) you will get 7gb to browse. grin

That's for 20 months.

As opposed to getting 4.5gb for #2,000 per month. cool

So, it's like when you add that extra #1,000 every month you'll get 2.5gb as opposed to their original 1.5gb for #1,000.

Bro, you can't roll over a Mega bundle with an Android monthly plan.

Android plans are from 1k - 4k
Mega Plans are from 5k - 20k.
They go into separate accounts, you can only roll over an Android plan with another android plan.

You can call their customer care to confirm. Don't say nobody told you until you need to be subscribing 5k every month

Just like every company that has Nigerian to it. Airtel is not here for Nigerians but here to extort Nigerians.
Its about time, we Nigerians help bring to publicity brands that are here for us, irrespective of our personal interest and profit margin.

This is not possible, i want to do the 20k sub, so i called airtel call centre number now, and behold the agent told me, for a successful roll over, I have to subscribe with the same amount, that is i have to subscribe 20k every month to roll over my unused data. For me its nonsense! I rather go for 8gb = #3,000 valid for 30days

Ravon:
… Rolls out 4G in Over 100 Cities, Towns

Leading telecommunications services provider, Airtel Nigeria, has announced a massive increase in data allowance on its weekly and monthly data tariff plans in a new move that will enable mobile internet consumers to enjoy more value at heavily discounted rates.

The new data tariff review applies to most of the weekly and monthly data plans of the telco including its mega plans.

Under the new tariff, customers who subscribe to the N3,000 monthly plan will get 8GB data; consumers who buy the N5,000 monthly plan will get 15GB of data while customers who subscribe to the N20,000 Megaplan will be credited with 110GB of data, valid for 30 days.

Airtel also introduced a new data plan specifically designed for heavy data users, seeking more value to stream online, chat and download movies. The new plan gives 6GB of data weekly for only N1,500.

The telco said the reviewed data tariff plan will ride on its expansive 4G network, which covers over 100 major cities and towns.

Commenting on the new data plans, the Chief Commercial Officer, Airtel Nigeria, Dinesh Balsingh, said prevailing consumer trend indicates a growing demand for data/mobile Internet and Airtel is well-positioned to take the lead in providing the right value offerings as it currently has the largest 4G network in the country.

“As the preferred mobile internet services provider, Airtel is committed to offering superior value to telecoms consumers across the country and our newly revamped data plans is a testament to our commitment to empowering our customers. With the same price, our customers now have higher data allowance to do much more and get more out of life; to succeed, to become more productive and to do so much more” he said.

To activate the Airtel data plans, customers are advised to dial *141#. The data plans are available to all prepaid and postpaid customers on the Airtel network.

grin yeah of course but MTN coverage is more than airtel coverage except you are in a location where airtel coverage is good, airtel is data and data is airtel, airtel is the best so far in terms of data consumption but wider coverage mtn has it but it burns data faster although browsing with mtn is smooth and easier in my area enugu
