Yes there are fossils that prove this, there are DNA similarities in hominid species that proves we are relatives.

You never did say if you ever had a dog or a cat or a chicken, and if they had the knowledge to recognise you as their owner so they didn't instinctively bite you and scratch you and peck at you and believe or knew their food came from you.
