A building is reportedly currently on fire at Transcorp building close to Oracle on Glover Road, Ikoyi, Lagos and almost completely in ashes and no fire service truck was in sight.

According to a source, it is still uncertain what caused the inferno but it is believed someone wants to cover tracks.

The fire started around 4pm today and the Lagos State fire service are yet to arrive as to contain the situation.

Its time to set up some private fire departments that charge for services everywhere in Nigeria. Because we can't rely on our failed leaders when there is fire on the mountain.

Re: Transcorp Building In Ikoyi, Lagos On Fire (Photos) by tunwumi: 9:17pm On Oct 26, 2019
Though not 100% the men of Lagos State fire services demonstrated competency and professionalism in combacting and subduing the fire. The main issue is just the response time which in part may be their fault while the other part is the fault of the readers and the author of this as we refused to leave the road for them to pass.

We have to be conscious of emergency and stop the idea that why should I leave the road for them to pass. I understand misuse that one also have to be punished but leave the road first.

Well done firemen of Lagos State Fire Service. Please where is federal fire service?
