They think Buhari is like Goatluck Jonathan whom they can bully at will. No IPPIS, No Salary. If you like close all universities, polytechnics, secondary schools and primary schools, Buhari will not shift ground. No ghost workers, no multiple employment by a single unpatriotic individual again.
Who suffers?
You think those lecturers would feel anything even if their strike linger for long?

They shouldn't be afraid, IPPIS is only meant for salaries, other allowances will come through the TSA.

Buhari will sack them all and employ several thousands of jobless PhD and Masters degree holders. Masters depress holders can teach 100 and 200 levels while PhD holders can teach 300, 400 and 500 levels. It is not as if the so called Professors have done anything tangible all these years, just titles with no research or achievement.

do you listen to yourself? no ghost workers how? with BVN , you can simply trace a worker who is into multiple salary payroll, let govt use a more mature approach than telling us this chaff of curbing multiple employment.

I see this as a positive move to national growth and corruption free economy. Why are they most educated set of people against the IPPIS? I guess they have skeletons in their cupboards.

He should try and let's see if the university will not crumble. Why do think many universities still use those old professors till date, you think it is because of accreditation?

Your examples show how Hitler started. He was performing all sorts of atrocities against the law and was applauded. I am sure you would scream fire fire if you are the direct beneficiary of such lawlessness

To the topic, ASU has a point while the FG has a point too. ASU is saying that the law setting up the uni allots powers over their finances to their governing council and not a government fiat as is being done under the FMF IPPIS. That is the law

The FG knows this. What they should do is not shoving this illegally down the throat of the uni but getting the national assembly to pass the appropriate laws to ensure they can do this legally. IPPIS is good and has harmonised the payment structures within the federal staff system

I am sure this is the future and has come to stay. However simply cos it's good doesn't make it ok to illegally implement

Oga, all agencies of government have governing boards just as the universities, so if all other agencies have enrolled in IPPIS, why should ASUU own be different? Even in the same universities being governed by the same governing councils, NASU and other staff unions have enrolled and ASUU kept quiet. Now it's their turn they want the universities to be shut down.
Well, I am not even bordered because buhari will not even shift bit.

damn! ASUU is the most corrupt organization is Nigeria, 60 % of the fund the university is generating is going to private pocket, this 419 profs are generating more money with university facilities from part time programs, and for this reason they have refused to register 40% of their courses with NUC .
they still share ecological fund, research fund, sell books by force , money for grade, sex for grade , those fat pigs should be fired

To replace with who? You I guess..

IPPIS: Here are 9 reasons lecturers may shut university doors again
http:///49d27b27191025en_ng

ASUU says the university system is dynamic and integrating universities into IPPIS would unleash on the university unintended consequences, which include mutating academics into mainstream civil service.

2. ASUU believes that there is no clear and convincing evidence that IPPIS can capture remuneration of staff on sabbatical, external examiners, external assessors, and Earned Academic Allowance.

3. ASUU notes that IPPIS does not and cannot cater for the constant movement of staff in the cases of visiting, adjunct, and part-time lecturers.

4. ASUU contends that IPPIS cannot predict and address the promotion of academics especially, associate professors and professors, which are subject to external assessment.

5. It also believes that IPPIS will constitute an impediment in the way of the ability of Universities to recruit staff for new programmes as well as replace same, while newly employed staff cannot be paid their salaries until they are enrolled into IPPIS database.

6. ASUU relies on section 2AA of the universities Miscellaneous Provisions (Amendment) Act 2003 that States universities should be allowed to operate in compliance with enabling laws, statutes, rules and regulations in conformity with due process and within the laws of the land.

7. It is the view of ASUU that the law establishing each university is an Act of the National Assembly; hence, it cannot be upturned by an Executive action or operations of the OAGF.

8. The union also insisted that its members are not answerable to the office the Accountant General of the Federation, but to their respective Governing Councils.

9. ASUU finally noted that no university in the world operates an IPPIS-related system

You can't even pen a simple coherent abstract but here you are squeezing like a defeathered bird left in the Cold..

There are bountiful intelligent, and remarkable professors selling their patents to industries and making their marks.

When you can point to a single journal in an international non predatory journal in your name. Come and make noise..
