What is killing Nigerians especially is the spirit of “it’s not my business”
There will be power outage in an estate or street instead of confronting the office in charge every man brings out his own generator fuel it and start disturbing the whole neighborhood because it’s not his business if there is power or not so long he can fuel his generator. The neighbours who can’t fuel theirs or probably don’t even have one should go and die. After all I’m not the government.
Collectively we can put the government on its toes but who cares? Who’s business? So long I can still manage to ply the bad road what is my business if they tile it or not after all I’m driving an SUV so I don’t have to worry about anything. So long I don’t even own a car let the big men go sort themselves out.
We don’t mind the fact that when the society is working the better for us, we feel the little millions we have made can insulate us from the general problem facing the society.
Let’s start speaking up against any abnormalities the moment we observe them.

It’s more dumb to support a failed system and wallow in it without thinking of possible way.
Is it not better to in a system where you pay tax and you can question how the tax is being used? Is it not better to have a system where you can call on the service provider and ask why their services re so poor? Is it not better to live in a society where every citizen can stand up and take responsibility by drawing the attention of the appropriate body to A particular situation?

He is right. White people are no better than black people in terms of selfishness and greed, in fact the I don't care attitude we have today was learnt from the white. Pre colonial or should I say pre slavery African societies took care of their sick, young and poor. There were no uncared for orphans or aged people roaming around.

Since we chose to adopt the strict capital system as against socialism or even welfarism, what else do you want government to do. Under the capitalist system, law of demand and supply rules. Government does not owe citizens goods and services. If there is demand for electricity in your estate, then someone buys a huge generator, meet the demands and collect revenue under NERC supervision. If that is not available, get a generator or solar. If you can't afford that, buy candle. That's the way capitalism works.
