LagosShia, I believe I have shed more light in post #29 on the 'dark' areas of the prophecies. Please remember to address my questions on Allah's judgement plans as set out in post # 29! Thanks in advance of a clear and civil response!
Re: False Prophecies Of The New Testament (bible) by aletheia(m): 7:00am On Nov 20, 2010
LagosShia:

am so sorry because i dont believe in a god that makes false prophecies and issues lies.

aletheia:

Allah lied when he said the gate that Dhul Qarnayn built will contain the Hordes of Gog and Magog till just before the Last Day. If that was true we would see the gate extant today but by your own admission: The gate is no longer there.

LagosShia:

please can you do us a favor and post the verses you are refering to.that will help us identify where "Allah lied".

Pretend ignorance. Y'all do that when confronted by the qur'an's untruths:

Sura 18:96-100. Give me pieces of iron - till, when he had levelled up (the gap) between the cliffs, he said: Blow! - till, when he had made it a fire, he said: Bring me molten copper to pour thereon. And (Gog and Magog) were not able to surmount, nor could they pierce (it).
He said: This is a mercy from my Lord; but when the promise of my Lord cometh to pass, He will lay it low, for the promise of my Lord is true. And on that day we shall let some of them surge against others, and the Trumpet will be blown. Then We shall gather them together in one gathering. On that day we shall present hell to the disbelievers, plain to view
,

So you agree that if the barrier actually existed (doubtful). . .it is currently no more there. And yet your qur'an does imply that at some time in the future the millions of Gog and Magog will be let through the barrier that Dhul-Qarnayn built and they will cause a lot of destruction to the mankind. So why is it currently in ruins then if your qur'an is correct?

Concerning that event here is what your ahadith say:

Narrated An-Nawwas ibn Sam'an:
. . .Then a people whom Allah had protected will come to Jesus, son of Mary, and he will wipe their faces and inform them of their ranks in Paradise. It will be under such conditions that Allah will reveal to Jesus these words:
I have brought forth from among My servants such people against whom none will be able to fight; you take these people safely to Tur, and then Allah will send Gog and Magog and they will swarm down from every slope. The first of them will pass the lake of Tiberias and drink out of it. And when the last of them passes, he will say: There was once water there(Sahih Muslim, Book 40, Number 7015)
.

No where in history is it recorded that a mighty horde descended on Lake Tiberias and drank it all up. In fact Lake Tiberias still exists so by the qur'an's logic the gate must still be in tact imprisoning the hordes of Gog and Magog.

Indeed your prophet believed it was still intact in his time.

Narrated Zainab bint Jahsh:
That one day Allah's Apostle entered upon her in a state of fear and said, "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah! Woe to the Arabs from the Great evil that has approached (them). Today a hole has been opened in the dam of Gog and Magog like this." The Prophet made a circle with his index finger and thumb (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 88, Number 249).

So between the time of your prophet and now, what happened to the gate that Dhul Qarnayn built?

Where are the invading hordes of Gog and Magog?

The qur'an tells us that Dhul-Qarnayn shut in Gog and Magog behind a physical gate of iron and copper he built and that they will not be able to get out until just before the Last Day. Your qur'an says the gate was a physical structure built of iron. It's purpose was to hold back the invading hordes of Gog and Magog until just before the Last Day. Since the Last Day is still in the future; then the Dhul Qarnayn's gate should still be in existence today.

What is the geography of the world that enabled Dhul-Qarnayn to shut these huge horde behind one gate?

How could Dhul-Qarnayn with one gate shut in those nations?

The answers to these questions clearly show that the qur'an is incorrect. If incorrect, then it is clearly fallible. If fallible then it is not from Jehovah and is a false book.

When one examines the legends of Alexander; one is forced to conclude that the story concerning Dhul-Qarnayn in the qur'an has come from the Legends concerning Alexander the Great. The qur'an borrows many of it's tales from the Mishnah, Talmud and other fables and only provides vague insinuations that Muslim scholars are unsure as to what the intent and meaning is.

Conclusion: The qur'an lies for Dhul Qarnayn's gate of iron and copper that it described as existing until just before the Last Day cannot be found.

I have read all that you posted, but i still did not read in the verses you presented where Allah said "the gates will be a sign for the judgement day".i did not see that!!!where is it?

with all the higlighted parts from the Quran verses about the past mixed with some hadiths about the future and some imaginations from your head (all of them in bold, highlighted) to mix things up i could not find one place where Allah said "the gates are the sign for judgement day".please copy out that phrase and without story-telling,post it and show us where Allah lied and said the "gates will be a sign for judgement day".i did not read that.it is not there.so where did you bring that from?your imagination?or your conclusion?

now if you cannot show us where in the Quran Allah lied and said "the gates would be a sign for judgement day",the you are a LIAR,A LOSER AND A FAILURE and i should not waste my time replying to you.you should call those among you who are more educated!

When reading the above verses,I am seeing what happened in the past.i read nowhere that the “gates will be a sign for judgement day”.

The part of the verses that deal with the future actually prophesied right.it is stated that “He will lay it (the gates) low”.in Yusuf Ali’s Translation, this is how the verses are translated:

“He said: "This is a mercy from my Lord: but when the promise of my Lord comes to pass, He will make it into dust; and the promise of My Lord is true." (98) On that day We shall leave them to surge like waves on one another; the trumpet will be blown, and We shall collect them all together. (99)”

The verse that deals with the future clearly shows that before the trumpet is blown the gates will go down, and the people will intermingle.that could be witness with the Moghul invasion of Baghdad and its destruction and the European journeys to Chine through the silk route.this prophecy in other words existed even before the coming of Muhammad.

You are reading the exact opposite of what you claimed.you said the “gates will be a sign for judgement day”,and now the gates are gone.but we read from the verses that God will turn those gates into dust before the judgement day.why are you LYING?

So you agree that if the barrier actually existed (doubtful). . .it is currently no more there.
And yet your qur'an does imply that at some time in the future the millions of Gog and Magog will be let through the barrier that Dhul-Qarnayn built and they will cause a lot of destruction to the mankind. So why is it currently in ruins then if your qur'an is correct?
So me where in the verses it is said that the “gates will be a sign for the judgement day”?i did not read those words.show me where.you read your bible and always understand the opposite.Jesus says “I am alive, touch,it is me,”you understand that as meaning Jesus has “resurrected”.my friend you cannot do the same with the Quran,ok?

The Moghuls invasion of baghdad are evident of the destruction the violent tribes from asia are capable of doing.the verses said the gates will be turned into dust and the peoples will let loose before judgement day.no matter, what you say,God did not tell us that judgement day will be today or tomorrow.it just tells us that the gates will be turned to dust and people will be let loose before the trumpet is blown.furthermore, when the disbelievers ask when is the day of judgement, the Quran always say:”the knowledge is with Allah only”.no one knows the time.what is stated that must happened before that day has taken place.Muhammad has come and undoubtedly we are heading towards the end.how long or how soon God alone knows.even Jesus doesn’t know!here we have you claiming that the quran says “the gates will be a sign for judgement day”.i did not read that.it is not my fault you never heard of the moghuls and their ransacking of baghdad.its not my fault you’re illitrate and a bloody liar.

The first of them will pass the lake of Tiberias and drink out of it. And when the last of them passes, he will say: There was once water there(Sahih Muslim, Book 40, Number 7015)
.
The above are hadiths.i want you to show me where in the Quran (the word of Allah),where Allah lied and said :”the gates will be a sign for the day of judgement”.

Also, the above hadiths are talking about the future.the gates are not mentioned.Gog and Magog are therefore representative symbols from the past.the verses of the Quran talk about the past events, and prophesied that before the trumpet is blown, the gates will be in ruin.and the people will be let free and that has happened before the Day of Judgement.

The hadith above is talking exclusively about the future.and it says,God will send Gog and Magog again.i did not read anything about the gates.i am even going the extent of accepting the above hadiths, knowing fully well that as a shia,I don’t accept the books of sahih bukhari and sahih muslim.yet still to be fair with my sunni brothers, your claims are not justified even by reading from hadiths.

The Quran says before the judgement day the gates will be ruined.they have being ruined and people have being let loose.people freely intermingle.you’re reading the opposite.where in the Quran does it say that when the gates are ruined and people are let loose, the day of judgement will happen the next day?nowhere!that knowledge and time no one knows except God.

The hadith is talking about the future exclusive.it is not even related to the story of God and Magog in the Quran.you are simply tying both narrations in the hadith and the Quran because you have read the same name if both the Quran and hadiths.that is childish logic.we even do not believe in any creature called gog and magog.gog and magog can be tribes of central asia or any symbolic force representing those that Dhul-Qarnain encountered.

The Quran talks about how Dhul Qarnain was successful in restraining the gog and magog and says the gates will be ruined and people let loose before judgement day.that has happened.the hadith is telling of the future, and the time when Jesus willl decend and that Allah will send the gog and magog and they will drink from tiberias.if one (the Quran’s prophecy) has taken place ,and the hadith has not, then how can you tie the two events together?they both bear the names of “gog and magog”?is that why you tied them together?are you high?

Narrated Zainab bint Jahsh:
That one day Allah's Apostle entered upon her in a state of fear and said, "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah! Woe to the Arabs from the Great evil that has approached (them). Today a hole has been opened in the dam of Gog and Magog like this." The Prophet made a circle with his index finger and thumb (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 88, Number 249).

So between the time of your prophet and now, what happened to the gate that Dhul Qarnayn built?

The Quran says the gates will be ruined and people let to intermingle freely.that has happpened that is why you cannot find those gates today.is your brain tied?what is wrong with you?

Where are the invading hordes of Gog and Magog?
This is mentioned in the hadith about the end time and not related to the days of Dhul-Qarnain and the times the gates were built.you have to wait for them.the problem is your understanding of what or who “gog and magog” are or signify/stand for.and you keep mixing narrations and you don’t know how to differeniate between the times.

The above you are clearly lying.but am not surprised.your bible gives false prophecies,so it is not suprising you are lying on the Quran.

Where in the verses does it say that “Gog and Magog shut behind a physical gate or iron and copper he built and that they will not be able to get out until just before the Last Day”?

Where didd you read “will not be able to get out until just before the Last Day”?

The verse says, the gates will be ruined and people of Gog and Magog will be let lose before the Judegemtn Day.that has happened.what you mean by just before the Last Day is not found in that verse.your ”just” is not there.you can use that word to dramatize and be a drama queen.but I’d advise you to get your facts straight and stop adding your words.

What is the geography of the world that enabled Dhul-Qarnayn to shut these huge horde behind one gate?
You should find out about the geography from the link I earlier provided you and how it was made possible for some people to be restrained from attacking others by building gates.that is your homework.

How could Dhul-Qarnayn with one gate shut in those nations?
So you think what Dhul Qarnain built is like the gate of your compound, right?
When we use the term gates (in english) is to mean a protective barrier.the word used in the Quran that is translated as “gate” is not a door.it is a barrier.the arabic word is رَدۡمًا- “radma”. If you use google translation, the arabic translates into english to “rampart”,which means a protective barrier.

The answers to these questions clearly show that the qur'an is incorrect. If incorrect, then it is clearly fallible. If fallible then it is not from Jehovah and is a false book.
I have answered your questions and imaginations and proven you an illitrate liar.i would like you to apply the above rule of identifying if a book is from God or not from God,to the bible.apply that rule to the bible based on the false prophecies in it.and tell if everything in your bible is from Jehovah.

When people make accusations that the Quran borrows from so many books,it only makes me wonder how great this book of mine is.Muhammad,an illitrate could not have read all those books people accuse him of borrowing from.he could not have gone to open them and find details that were unheard of because the Quran makes it clear that these are stories from the unseen God is revealing.if they were known, they could not have being described as “knowledge of the unseen”.infact non of those bookswere written in arabic.also there was no arabic bible in the days of Muhammad.different people accuse him of borrowing from different books.it only shows how mighty the Quran is and how it combines the knowledge from the unseen.and not only that,it corrects those books.

Take for example:the bible addresses the ruler of egypt in the days of Joseph, son of Jacob,as the “pharoah”.in the days of Joseph the pharonic dynasty has not started ruling egypt.when the Quran narrates the story of Joseph,it right and historically accurate, describes the ruler of egypt in the days of Joseph, not as the “pharoah” but as the “king of egypt”.that is just to tell you the Intelligent mind behind the Quran is not Muhammad but Someone mighty and who has always being alive and present.there are other siimilar stories were the Quran narrations and use of words are accurate and right.

as for you "aletheia",you have lied at least twice!!!you're a desperate liar!!!

seyibrown:

You admit that 3 of the above happen; I am certain that all 5 happen but let us for the sake of your unbelief agree that 3 out of 5 ain't bad. Paul was bitten by a snake but he was not harmed; I know of a friend who was poisoned but did not die. Can we make that 5 out of 5?

I never read Paul was bitten by a snake and never died.and even if he says that,I would consider it just another lie of his.or maybe what bit him was mistaken for a snake!!!based on the false prophecies he made,he can no longer be taken seriously even when saying the truth.a man of God should not lie at all.when you lie once, that is enough to discredit anything you say.

As for making the prophecy of mark 16 5/5,you will have to show me evidence.you are a follower of Paul,a liar who made false prophecies that he will not die but will be flying in the sky.so I have to see evidence.

A thousand years is like a day before God. Humans are 'in time'; God is not. There are other prophecies that are linked to this prophecy and they are coming to pass. I will interpret that verse as 'THIS EARTH/GENERATION OF PEOPLE WILL NOT COME TO AN END till all these things be fulfilled'. That is what we Christians already know that when those things mentioned in verse 29 happen, then verse 30 and 31 will follow. Plainly, THIS EARTH WILL NOT PASS AWAY UNTIL JESUS FIRST COMES BACK; and this is in connection with the scriptures below, which were written before Jesus was born.

A day can even be a billion years to God if you like.there is no problem about that.what is for God is for God.

We are talking about prophecies made that were false because they were time bound.the people who issued out those prophecies, believed they will not die and the things they prophesied will come to pass when they are still alive.yet those men are dead.that is what makes the prophecies false.if those prophecies would have being issued by God,one would expect that those men alive then will not have died until the prophecies be fulfilled.those men died.therefore it is only acceptable that we identify those prophecies as fake and not from God.

Considering that Muslims always point us to the OT as being more authentic that the NT, Let us conclude that Jesus repeated/confirmed what was already prophesied in the OT. As he confirmed the passing away of the earth which was already prophesied under the Old dispensation (Law Covenant), he did not lie. He only revealed what was hidden in the OT.

We need to take the following scripture into account when considering prophecies concerning the 'last days', 'the earth passing away' etc.

Muslims do not consider the OT more authentic than the NT.at least I have not known that.what muslims do is to be objective.you deal with every book, every, verse, and every letter with caution and we examine everything.everything is questioned.that is the muslim approach I know of when it comes to any scripture including the hadith and the Quran.there must be objectivity for the truth to be identified.

As for the prophecies,we do not question the fact that Jesus will return or that Jesus is genuine based on islamic scripture and prophecies.we accept Jesus wholeheartedly as muslims based on the Quran and authentic hadiths.

what I am questioning is the truthfulness of prophecies found in the NT of the bible.those prophecies even if they will happen in the future (and I am sure they will not because you will never see those people like paul flying in the air),will still be considered false and forged/fabricated.they have already failed because whoever authored the prophecy cannot be Jesus.those prophecies like I have already explained are saying that those people alive like John and Paul will not die before the prophecies are fulfilled.infact they “will not have the taste of death”.those men alive then who are dead and rotten to the bones today, were expected to shortly be flying in the air to meet the lord in their days they were alive.those men have died.whether those prophecies will happen or will not happen,we have no proof.there is nothing to back them up.they have failed and therefore they are false prophecies and they are not true.

The gospel will be preached everywhere in the world so that in every place the message of Christ would been preached and made available, giving them the opportunity to choose to accept Christ. The gospel needs to be preached everywhere and missionaries are working on it but there is still a lot of ground to cover. EVERY PLACE/PEOPLE/NATION ON EARTH WILL HAVE THE MESSAGE OF CHRIST BROUGHT TO THEM as in Matthew 24: 14 before Matthew 24:29 happens.

Don't be in a hurry about the prophecies. He prophesied that wickedness will abound and that the love of many will grow cold (Matthew 24:12). It is happening. Unthinkable things are happening and disgusting things are being legalized. Many hoard out of greed while others lack. Upon the emergence of the anti-christ (fake peace-maker), maybe you will reconsider this matter of Jesus prophecies!

There is one thing you need to be aware of:you don’t bring what is true to justify what is false.we muslims do also quote the bible to prove to you that Jesus prophesied Muhammad and the advent of islam.but that doesn’t mean that because there is a prophecy we can spot out that we can use, that means we must accept everything even the false ones or what is wrong.that makes no sense.there can be true prophecies in the bible.but to say there is no false prophecy in that same book will amount to lying.this fact is why we muslim do not accept the bible authoritatively and therefore believe that the bible has being corrupted.i hope this (false prophecies) will serve as evidence to back that belief up.

Jesus was saying the above to Pilate in answer to questions about his Kingship. We see that he makes it clear that his kingdom is not of this world - earthly government. He is talking about a SPIRTUAL KINGDOM THAT IS NOT SET UP BY MAN but by God.
Off-topic!

I understand from this scripture that it is not possible to follow signs to the very last minute of the Kingdom of God coming(We all know how to throw a party when mum and dad are not around and then tidy up before they come back and pretend to have been studying all day because we know when they'll be back! ). The coming of the Son of Man will be unexpected, so we ought to 'be prepared' (like the 'Boy Scouts' ). The spiritual manifestation of the Kingdom of God is already with us! Children of God feel his love, joy and peace in their hearts despite all the wickedness around us; and those who are not of the kingdom of God are enjoying the 'rewards' of their master as we speak! The kingdom of God is here and we know it in our spirits. Jesus was correct when he said many of them will not see/taste death till they see (know/experience) the kingdom of God because he was talking about a 'spiritual experience' that will affect the 'physical'. e.g the peace of God.

I am not saying we can be sure when the Day will be.you need you ask those who authored false prophecies they were sure of,why were they so sure they will live and not die and see certain signs that must come to pass.how did those prophecies find their way into the bible?you have to find out.i know it would be futile to put any effort into that because we know that the council of nicae was what decided what was acceptable “gospel” and what was not.they also decided what was doctrine and what was not.that was the work of fallible men and that is the reason islam and christianity are apart today and there was the need for Muhammad to be sent.

If you read the whole of Chapter 23, you will get the whole picture but in short, he was saying that the Scribes and the Pharisees were preventing people from entering the Kingdom of God. What the Pharisees were doing was that they practiced 'righteousness for show' and they burdened the people with so much requirements than was necessary. They burdened the people with 'religion' and prevented them from having a 'relationship' with God(Read parable of the Widow's mite, the Rich man and the poor sinner). It is the RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD THAT BRINGS YOU INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD, not rules like 'DON'T EAT PORK, DON'T SWING A CAT, SLEEP WITH YOUR WIFE ONLY ONCE A YEAR, CARRY YOUR SUNDAY OFFERING ON YOUR HEAD IN A 'GHANA MUST GO BAG', YOU MUST VISIT JERUSALEM EVERY YEAR IF YOU WANT TO GET TO HEAVEN, PAINT YOU FACE PALE WHITE WHEN YOU ARE FASTING etc. All those rules are not necessary to have a RELATIONSHIP with the father. WORSHIP, not RELIGION is what gives you access to the father. Once that relationship brings you into the kingdom of God, you can create a 'special bond' by making a vow and keeping it e.g. Food fast, intimacy fast, interceeding for others etc. The Kingdom of God comes from a SPIRITUAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.

To have a relationship with the Father (the kingdom of God within us), We need to be like 'LITTLE CHILDREN' before GOD. See below:

I will say from the above that some of the signs of the the kingdom of God within us are: trusting God, humility, loving God and our neighbours, and being a forgiving person.

More evidence(signs) of the kingdom of God in our lives can be found in Galatians:

The KINGDOM OF GOD IS DEFINITELY HERE IN OUR SPIRITS AND IN OUR MIDST (Luke 17:21) because many christians have the signs of the kingdom in their lives. Taking Nigerian governments as an example, some people will say they benefitted from a particular governor's government and others will say they didn't. Those who benefitted had a 'CONNECTION' with that government! If you do not connect with the father, you will miss out on the 'KINGDOM CAKE'. THE INVITATION IS NOT BASED ON TRIBES OR RELIGION, IT IS OPEN TO ALL THROUGH JESUS CHRIST(I am saying here that true Christianity is not a religion but a relationship with God).

Given the explanation of the 'Kingdom of God' as above QUOTING JESUS OTEHR TEACHINGS, I hope it is clearer to you how those people Jesus referred to DID SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD BEFORE THEY TASTED DEATH. We don dey chop the kingdom of God as he dey now; we go chop am big time wen Jesus come back!

INTERPRETING BIBLE VERSES INDIVIDUALLY WITHOUT REFERENCE TO CONTEXT AND WITHOUT REVERENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT LEADS TO LACK OF KNOWLEDGE. (The fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom).
Off-topic!

'For the time is at HAND' means 'The time is near'. If you read and connect the three verses, the message here is about 'prophecies' that should be read, accepted, kept and will come to pass. The next logical question will be 'when will these prophecies come to pass? The answer is in the same text: 'FOR THE TIME IS AT HAND' which is equal to 'FOR THE TIME IS NEAR'.
The prophecies show us that those things must come to pass in the days of the men mentioned in the prophecies.example:
1 John 2:18
18Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, .even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time

As for the phrase “at hand”,at whose “hand”? it means in their time,”at their own hand”.this is more evident with the prophecies that says they will not taste death and will be flying in the air to meet the lord.

In 1John 2:18,the author is even telling us that the anti-christ has come and he used the phrase to children that “it is the last time”!.

I can only guess that you want some explantion on 'antichrist' as you did not really ask a particular question. The 'anti-christ' is the 'prince of this world' as predicted by Jesus. The 'antichrist' is sometimes used to refer to 'the spirit of the anti-christ' or 'a manifestation of the spirit of the anti-christ'. Whatever context in which it is used, it usually refers to a person/body/organisation that is influenced/controlled by the spirit of the antichrist to speak against the messiahship of christ. Those under these influence will generally persecute christians The Spirit of the anti-christ is 'the prince of this world' and that is the Devil. As we have many persecuting christians today, so did others too during the time of the apostles. The persecution of christians is a sign that the 'last time' (the end) is near. We don't know when exactly but things happening around us will give us a clue. The 'fake peace-maker'(the embodiment of the antichrist) is coming to 'really' persecute those who follow Christ. The eagles are gathering . . . .

The matter of the anti-christ requires an indepth understanding of teh Bible (with the help of the Holy Spirit) . It is 'meat' not 'milk'.

Paul and the other apostles knew that Christ would be coming when they least expect. You somehow forgot to really read what 'WE SHALL NOT ALL' means. It means 'NOT ALL OF US'. Paul, was saying 'NOT ALL OF US WILL DIE A PHYSICAL DEATH' but we will all be transformed into a 'body' that is capable of living in the New kingdom. He did not say 'I , PAUL WILL NOT DIE' or 'I, PAUL WILL BE CHANGED'.

Paul also did not fear to die for the Lord;

No sir!
This is just one example from the lot to prove you wrong:

1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 (King James Version)
15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lordshall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

QUESTIONS ON ALLAH'S PLAN

Given your familiarity with the 'RAPTURE DRILL' , and your disbelief of the prophecy that we will not all die but some will be taken up. Could you please in the manner of the RAPTURE PLAN, list first, and then explain if necessary, Allah's Judgement/resurrection Plan? How does Allah plan to get everybody to judgement? Is it judgement on death? Will he wait till everybody dies off the surface of the earth? Will he wipe out all living things in one day so as to judge us all at the same time? Will he send a flood, fire, earthquake, disease or 'mass thunder-strike', to make sure everybody dies at once? Did he give an indication of what time 'the end' will be? Any signs to look out for? Will he come down to earth, or take us all up to heaven? PLEASE EXPLAIN ALLAH'S RESSURECTION /JUDGEMENT PLAN. Thanks in advance of a civil reply.
From the Quran and authentic hadith, agreed upon by muslims scholars from the past and present and from both the sunni and shia branches of islam, there are signs agreed upon which must come to pass.i will quickly list those signs/events that must pass, they may not be complete (as in not all of them because there are many of them and not all are in my head):

1.) The rise of the sufyani
2.) The rise of the yemeni
3.) The (re)appearance of the Mahdi (shia believe the Mahdi to be the 12th Imam who has being born more than 1000 years ago and is in “occultation” and are awaiting his re-appearance.sunnis believe that the Mahdi will be born in the future (unknown time).
4.) The decent of Prophet Jesus (the Quran tells us that would be a sign of the Judgement Day)
5.) The slaying of the dajjal (the anti-christ).the dajjal may represent a man,an organization,a country,a league of countries, etc.
6.) A double eclipse in the month of ramadan
7.) A long period of peace on earth
8.) Jesus and the Mahdi will rule
9.) The Mahdi will die first
10.) Jesus too will die
11.) People will later on be corrupt again
The Quran tells us that every soul shall have the taste of death.everyone will die.not one will escape death.we pray that death will be made easy for us and less painful.then everyone will be resurrected by the command of Allah.

The events of the resurrection, judgement and reward are more clearly and plainly outlined in the Quran.

There is a chapter of the Quran called “al-qiyama” or the “resurrection”.

You can read more about the qiyama and the events to happen before and thereafter described, here “winds of qiyama blowing”:

http://al-qiyamah.org/winds_of_qiyamah_fatir.htm

Paul clearly indicated where he was giving ADVICE not STATING A COMMANDMENT FROM GOD! It therefore makes sense THAT WHERE HE DID NOT INDICATE THAT HE WAS OFFERING ADVICE, HE WAS SPEAKING FROM REVELATION! It does not make sense to CONSIDER EVERYTHING THAT PAUL SAID AS OF HIS OWN SINCE HE WAS CLEARLY HONEST STATING WHERE THE CASE WAS SO!
The above is funny and childish.one would expect that with someone blessed with the ability to receive prophecy and revelation,he would say nothing false nor utter a lie.if he does utter a lie and say something false like a false prophecy, then how would we be able to know when he is lying and talking from his head and when he is talking on behalf of God?this is callled confusion and not honesty!

On Corinthians 7:12, Paul was advising that if a christian has a non-christian wife who is happy to stay, he should not divorce her for being a muslim or a bhuddist. He was giving guidance using bearing in mind that GOD HATES DIVORCE and that sending leaving your wife or your husband(who is not complaining about your religion) because of their religion falls short of the commandment THOU SHALT LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF, and DO NOT DEAL TREACHEROUSLY WITH THE WIFE OF YOUR YOUTH. His advice was in line with GOD'S COMMANDMENTS. Not everybody is spiritually deep enough to understand the things of God and it would be right for those who have understanding to guide them in the right path.

Paul did not say anything contrary to God's commandments. Advice is different from Prophecy but both can come from the same source where the adviser is in tune with the 'source of his prophecy', and lives and abides by the commandments God.

If Paul had said 'KILL YOUR WIFE, IF SHE IS NOT A CHRISTIAN FOR THE HONOUR OF GOD'; BEAT YOUR NON-CHRISTIAN WIFE EVERYDAY UNTIL SHE CONVERTS TO CHRISTIANITY, ABSTAIN FROM YOUR WIFE'S BED UNTIL SHE DENOUNCES HER RELIGION or 'KILL YOUR WIFE IF SHE BECOMES A MUSLIM EVEN IF SHE DOES NOT MIND THAT YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN'. It would be clear to all that he is a liar as that advice is not in tune with God's commandments at all! PAUL GAVE ADVICE THAT WAS IN LINE WITH GOD'S COMMANDMENT AND MADE IT CLEAR TO US THAT HE WAS GIVING GUIDANCE (and we can say influenced by the spirit of God because a child of God will do things in a godly way).
Off-topic!
All this mushy-mushy kind words cannot cover up the topic.the topic is are there false prophecies in the NT of the bible or not?did paul utter lies or not?tell us about that.

You did not explain how Allah would judge. My questions were clear! How is will the world come to an end? Will Allah come down to judge? Will everybody that is alive go up to meet Allah? Will he put an end to the life of everybody on earth so that everybody tastes death before the judgement? Please look at the relevant section again in post #29 and try to answer how it's going to happen.

A question arising from the 'PLAN': I see Jesus is listed as coming back to rule with the Mahdi; Where is he coming from? Where has he been all this time? Why is Mohammed not coming back to rule? Or is Mohammed the Mahdi? In the original post, you assert that Jesus prophecies are lies; Why would Allah send a liar to come and rule the earth? Feel free to make your answers straight and direct to the point.

Arising from earlier discussions; Where will the 72 virgins for every man come from? Are they heavenly beings or human beings? Will the men who get these virgins be able to have kids with them in al-qiyamah? Will these men be able to father more kids with their original wives form earth? What will happen to bad muslims (those who do not qualify for the virgins) and all those who do not accept Allah or follow Mohammed? Will good xtian men qualify for 72 virgins too? Is there a seperate heaven for Xtians and Muslims in Alqiyamah?

@LagosShia:

How desperate you begin to sound. Did I not say that left to its claims the qur'an is shown to be false: it is only by emendations and  revisionist interpolations are Muslims able to convince themselves that it is genuine for left to itself, the qur'an is powerless to convince anyone to become a Muslim.

LagosShia:

I have read all that you posted, but i still did not read in the verses you presented where Allah said "the gates will be a sign for the judgement day".i did not see that!!!where is it?

How convenient for you not to see it. I had even underlined the salient parts for you in my earlier post.

On that day we shall present hell to the disbelievers, plain to view
,

LagosShia:

i could not find one place where Allah said "the gates are the sign for judgement day".please copy out that phrase and without story-telling,post it and show us where Allah lied and said the "gates will be a sign for judgement day".i did not read that.it is not there.so where did you bring that from?your imagination?or your conclusion?

I realize that you will only see what you want to see. It is very hard for a man to let go of his delusions. Again here is another verse from your qur'an affirming that the barrier or gate is meant to restrain Gog and Magog till just before the Last Day.

21:95-97. But there is a ban on any population which We have destroyed: that they shall not return, Until the Gog and Magog (people) are let through (their barrier), and they swiftly swarm from every hill. Then will the true promise draw nigh (of fulfilment): then behold! the eyes of the Unbelievers will fixedly stare in horror: "Ah! Woe to us! we were indeed heedless of this; nay, we truly did wrong!"

I know you will not understand the meaning of the phrase: Until the Gog and Magog (people) are let through (their barrier), and they swiftly swarm from every hill.

LagosShia:

The verse that deals with the future clearly shows that before the trumpet is blown the gates will go down, and the people will intermingle.that could be witness with the Moghul invasion of Baghdad and its destruction and the European journeys to Chine through the silk route.this prophecy in other words existed even before the coming of Muhammad.

Of course the verse tries to predict the future: the problem is that we do not see the gate of Dhul Qarnayn that it said will remain as a barrier enclosing Gog and Magog till just before the Last Day. You further display your revisionist tendencies: so the Mongols are to be equated with Gog and Magog? Tell me when the Mongols killed caliph Musta'sim; did they also drink up Lake Tiberias just like your authentic ahadiths said they would?

History also shows that the Mongols did not reach Galilee where Lake Tiberias is.

LagosShia:

You are reading the exact opposite of what you claimed.you said the “gates will be a sign for judgement day”,. . .blah, blah, blah

The Moghuls invasion of baghdad are evident of the destruction the violent tribes from asia are capable of doing.the verses said the gates will be turned into dust and the peoples will let loose before judgement day.

Even your qur'an and hadiths do not agree with you on this one. I repeat it is only by emendations and  revisionist interpolations that Muslims are able to convince themselves that it is genuine for left to itself, the qur'an is powerless to convince anyone to become a Muslim.

We can see from the above hadiths that the people of Gog and Magog do exist right now, that they will be let loose before the Resurrection Day and that the number of the army of Gog and Magog must be so extremely large that they drank all the water of the lake of Tiberias in one go. From all the above the barrier that Dhul Qarnayn had built must be of gigantic proportions to keep these people to this day.

With so many references to that strong and huge barrier Muslim explorers began looking for it.

Ibn Kathir informs us in his commentary that:

Khalif al-Wathiq sent some of his princess with an army so that they might find the dam (the barrier) and look at it, and describe it to him when they come back. They went from country to country and from kingdom to kingdom until they reached it. They saw that it was built from iron and copper, with a great gate in it with huge locks. They also saw the rest of the [iron] bricks and the work in a tower there. They also found guards from neighbouring countries and that the dam is very high and could not be climbed nor the mountains next to it. The army went back to their country and the expedition lasted more than two years during which they saw horrific and strange things.

Ibn Khurdabih (846 A.D.) gives the following account of Sallaam's expedition, who was sent to report on the Iron Gate by Khalif Wathiq.

"Sallaam's interpreter related to me that when Al-Wathiq bi-'llah dreamt that the wall built by Dhu'l-Qarnain between us and Gog & Magog was opened, and he sought a man to send out to the place, in order to gain news of it, Ashnas said "There is no-one here except Sallaam's interpreter who is fitted for the business, and Salaam spoke 30 languages. So, says Sallaam, Wathiq summoned me and said "I wish you to go out to the rampart that you may actually see it and bring me news of it."

After some time journeying, Sallaam came to a "lofty mountain on which was a fortress. And the rampart which Dhu'l-Qarnain built is in a broad opening between two mountains, the breadth of which is two hundred cubits [300ft or 100m]. . .

Sallaam says: "I said to those of the fortress which were present, 'Has anything at all of this rampart been damaged?' They answered 'Nothing except this crack.' Now the crack was in breadth as thin as a thread. I said 'Do you put anything in it?' They replied 'No! For the thickness of the rampart is 5 cubits which are equal each to one and a half Iraqian cubits'. Sallaam said: "So I approached, and taking my knife out of my boot, I scraped in the fissure and got out as much as half a drachm, and tied it up in a cloth to show it to Al-Wathiq bi-'llah. At the top of the right door of the rampart was written in iron characters in the ancient language "But when the promise of my Lord shall come to pass, He shall turn it to dust and the promise of my Lord is true"

^^Above reads exactly like one of the fables from The Thousand and One Nights.

Here is the nub of the matter which repeatedly escapes you:

The facts are this: The Qur'an mentioned a huge impregnable structure that will last to the end of times, but this structure is no where to be found. It does not exist and did not exist. The absence of this colossal structure brings to question the validity of the Qur'an.

The Qur'an stands condemned by its own words: Had it been from other than God, they would surely have found therein much discrepancy.

We have found much discrepancy therein; thus the Qur'an cannot be from God but from another source.

I will not bother and waste my time to answer to every nonsense point you made.i quoted you from where you presented 2 historical accounts and where you ended by stating your summarized point of contention.i will answer that for the final time.i know you are desperate to drag the Quran to the level of the bible.but you are a desperate liar.

The first point I would like to point is that from both historical record and islamic record,we are sure that the barrier did exist.

Your point of contention is summarized thus:
The facts are this: The Qur'an mentioned a huge impregnable structure that will last to the end of times, but this structure is no where to be found. It does not exist and did not exist. The absence of this colossal structure brings to question the validity of the Qur'an.

my reply:

First you claimed the barrier does not exist, you have being proven a liar twice.

Second you claimed that the barrier must exist “just” before the end times, again that is another lie.your initial lie was that “Allah lied” because the barrier must be a sign for the end time.that is not the case in the verse.i will explain the verse and point an important part, you deliberately turned blind to.it does not seem you really read that part.i will point it out.

Thirdly, you deliberately mix between what is stated in the Quran (the word of Allah) with what is stated in the hadith about lake tiberias and the gog and magog.the Quran describes three things:the building of a barrier, the taken down of the barrier to ruin and the letting loose of peoples restrained during the gog and mag.those three thing will happen before judgement day.there is nothing like “just before” in the verse.the time of the judgement day is only known to Allah and the verses do not prescribe a time.as for your silly accusation about revision or whatever nonsense, you must see that we do not cover up anything.the Quran and history are there for everyone to judge.a prophecy can only be read based on events on the ground.i cited the invasion of the moghuls, but it seems to you the moghuls do not fit to be described as gog and magog because you probably got some ficticious alien/outer space image in your head of what gog and magog is.that is your head ache.

The hadith on the other hand, talks about the end time only, and God sending Gog and magog to tiberias.it makes no mention of any barrier.for gog and magog to be on the move that barrier must be brought down first.today that barrier have gone down.gog and magog is symbolical and could be representatives of an ethinic group or individuals or the ethnic group(s) themselves.we can as well say that the turkish people may be the ones to finally go to palestine and get rid of the zionists who have invaded that land and set up the illegal state of israel.the turkish are decended from mongolia.the prophecy of the hadith is unrelated to what is described in the Quranic verses.the only common factor is the name “gog and magog”.you have no right to link the two unrelated events and use your imaginations to twist your head, because you cannot twist mine.

Let us examine the Quranic Verses and let us see if there is anywhere therein where it is said that “the barrier must last till just before the end time” as our liar friend is speculating:

Holy Quran 18:89-100
Then he followed a road (89) Till, when he reached the rising-place of the sun, he found it rising on a people for whom We had appointed no shelter therefrom. (90) So (it was). And We knew all concerning him. (91) Then he followed a road (92) Till, when he came between the two mountains, he found upon their hither side a folk that scarce could understand a saying. (93) They said: O Dhu'l-Qarneyn! Lo! Gog and Magog are spoiling the land. So may we pay thee tribute on condition that thou set a barrier between us and them? (94) He said: That wherein my Lord hath established me is better (than your tribute). Do but help me with strength (of men), I will set between you and them a bank. (95) Give me pieces of iron - till, when he had levelled up (the gap) between the cliffs, he said: Blow! - till, when he had made it a fire, he said: Bring me molten copper to pour thereon. (96) And (Gog and Magog) were not able to surmount, nor could they pierce (it). (97) He said: This is a mercy from my Lord; but when the promise of my Lord cometh to pass, He will lay it low, for the promise of my Lord is true. (98) And on that day we shall let some of them surge against others, and the Trumpet will be blown. Then We shall gather them together in one gathering. (99) On that day we shall present hell to the disbelievers, plain to view,

From the above the following are noted:

1.) Dhul-Qarnain reached a land where a people complained about gog and magog
2.) Dhul-Qarnain builts a barrier to make a separation and restrain the people of gog and magog
3.) Gog and magog could not to breach the barrier
4.) Verse no. 98 is what our liar friend refused to set eyes on-the barrier will be brought to ruin on an appointed time the Lord only knows.and today the barrier is in ruins
5.) When the barrier is brought down, people will fight each other
6.) And the trumpet will be blown
7.) Then they shall be gathered and judged before God

There is nowhere indicated that this barrier will last till judgement day or like our liar friend likes to put it “just before”.

How long will it take when people will fight or surge over each other is unknown.this barrier has gone down and from history we can see events that have witness the peoples of that area fighting themselves.the moghuls invaded and ransacked baghdad, the soviet invasions in central asia and the middle east, and even today the kurdish rebellion.what we clearly understand, there is no time frame within which the barrier must go down and the trumpet will be blown.the trumpet will be blown after the barrier goes down and in between the two events, the people will surge against each other.how long will the people continue to surge against themselves is not stated.the prophecy is not time bound and the Quran in many places states clearly that the time is only known to God.

We can also see that from the Quran that the phrase “and the trumpet will be blown” is meant to give precedence to the phrrase where it is indicated that “then we shall gather them together in one gathering”.the blowing of the trumpet signifies the resurrection.this is an indication that no matter how much people fight and trample over each other, they should not forget that one day all of them will be gathered together to be judged by the same One God.

Again we fail to see any time frame indicated.

Will he put an end to the life of everybody on earth so that everybody tastes death before the judgement? Please look at the relevant section again in post #29 and try to answer how it's going to happen.

Allah does not need to come down to judge.Allah has no physical body to move.He is present everywhere, yet He is found in no one place because He cannot be bound by space and time.space and time cannot contain Him.i know those are difficult concepts for the human mind to understand or imagine, and that is exactly the essence of God.whatever you picture is a creation of your mind.you cannot bring God to the level of the creature or the creation.space and time cannot contain Him.space and time are His Creations, therefore since He is the Creator He existed before those two entities were created.Allah is beyond space and time.this what we understand from the first Imam,Ali Ibn Abi Talib, who we Shia-Muslims recognize as the first legitimate and divinely appointed successor to the Prophet Muhammad.

as for the judgement, the world will come to an end through earthquakes as the Quran tells us and everything will lie in ruins, even the mountains and the heavenly bodies!!!everything will be shattered.then there will be the resurrection by the command of God and things will be put in place anew by the command of God who first started the creations when there was nothingness.everyone will be handed an account recorded about his deeds.the angels will be tasked to give you your "report card".then the good and the bad will be separated.Allah can never be seen by the unclothed eyes.no one not even Jesus and Moses have claimed to have seen God.even the bible describes God as "a spirit" which therefore cannot be seenthe Quran has descriptions like "the hand of God","face of God","throne of God",but these are not to be taken literal.this is so because in the Quran we are told that "everything shall perish except the face of thy Lord".so if Allah has a physical body like hand and throne, then based on that fact if it were to be taken literally, the hands of Allah too will have to perish and only His face will remain.that is absurd.so we understand that when you read also that Jesus sat at the "right hand of God",that should not be taken literal.these are expressions that are figurative.

A question arising from the 'PLAN': I see Jesus is listed as coming back to rule with the Mahdi; Where is he coming from? Where has he been all this time?
We believe Jesus is not in this world.according to the Quran,he was made unconscious (the arabic word used is “mutawaffika”).”mutawaffik has several meanings.it could mean to cause to sleep.when we fall asleep,we are also described with the same term.it can also mean phical death.it can mean unconscious or a state of unawareness.

We are also told that Jesus was neither crucified nor killed but was raised up.that much we know.as for where is will come from?he will come from the heavens.i hope you will not ask where is that, because I have not gone there… (yet)!!!Allah knows best!

Why is Mohammed not coming back to rule? Or is Mohammed the Mahdi?
Muhammad is not the Mahdi.the Mahdi according to shia-islam is the 12th imam who was born and still continue to exist on earth after more than 1000 years, but is unseen.the 12th imam is the successor of the Prophet Muhammad in the series starting with Imam Ali Ibn Abi-Talib.for the sunnis, they also believe the Mahdi will come.but sunnis believe he will be born in the future (time is unknown).

Why Muhammad will not come?
With us,there are hadiths which exist,in which it is stated that previous prophets and imams including Muhammad and the patriarch Abraham will be resurrected to aid the mission of the Mahdi and Jesus and witness the culmination of their effort bore fruit as truth and justice will finally triumph over falsehood and injustice in a decisive manner.

In the original post, you assert that Jesus prophecies are lies; Why would Allah send a liar to come and rule the earth?
If you read well, you will see that,I clearly said “false prophecies ATTRIBUTED to Jesus”.those prophecies are undoubtedly false and lies.and undoubtedly Jesus was sent by God.therefore it is only logical and just to believe that those prophecies attributed to Jesus will not authored nor uttered by Jesus himself, but someone else placed his fingers and authored them in what is known today as the new testament.

According to the Quran, there is an antichrist (dajjal); could you explain more the role of this antichrist? What is he coming to do?
From the little knowledge I have, the Dajjal is a great oppressor who will try to spread confusion and injustice on earth.this dajjal (or the one eyed being) could be a country like the USA or israel.or some muslims because it is the Illuminati and their world order led by the americans.if you look at illuminati symbols, they contain a “one eye”.even dollar bills have “one-eye” symbol.the Dajjal is very un-godly and against the truth and justice.

Why is there not an 'anti-mohammed' coming? Feel free to make your answers straight and direct to the point.
As you can see from the above,I deliberately did not use the term “anti-christ”.”anti-christ” is a christian terminology in english.in arabic and in islam it is not called “anti-christ”.he is called al-dajjal.the meaning of dajjal is the same with anti-christ.the relation is the fact that the dajjal in arabic is also known as the “false messiah”.he will claim to be the masih/Jesus (messiah).i can also sense that because of his pretense, claiming to be the messiah or Jesus in the end time leading to the final battle between good and evil,he is deemed to be “anti-christ” in english and christianity.correct me if am wrong.

Arising from earlier discussions; Where will the 72 virgins for every man come from? Are they heavenly beings or human beings? Is there a seperate heaven for Xtians and Muslims in Alqiyamah?
Sorry, but I don’t believe in 72 virgins.i hope God will give me a thousand.lol, but there is nowhere that it states I am promised 72 virgins.that hadiths is fabrication.the Quran does not say 72 virgins, but definitely we will have spouse in al-jannah.

As for the issue of fathering children,I do recall a hadith where it is stated that believers who were childless will be given the opportunity to have the joy of parenthood.

Thanking you again in advance of 'civil' responses.

as for the judgement, the world will come to an end through earthquakes as the Quran tells us and everything will lie in ruins, even the mountains and the heavenly bodies!!!everything will be shattered.then there will be the resurrection by the command of God and things will be put in place anew by the command of God who first started the creations when there was nothingness.everyone will be handed an account recorded about his deeds.the angels will be tasked to give you your "report card".then the good and the bad will be separated.Allah can never be seen by the unclothed eyes.no one not even Jesus and Moses have claimed to have seen God.even the bible describes God as "a spirit" which therefore cannot be seenthe Quran has descriptions like "the hand of God","face of God","throne of God",but these are not to be taken literal.this is so because in the Quran we are told that "everything shall perish except the face of thy Lord".so if Allah has a physical body like hand and throne, then based on that fact if it were to be taken literally, the hands of Allah too will have to perish and only His face will remain.that is absurd.so we understand that when you read also that Jesus sat at the "right hand of God",that should not be taken literal.these are expressions that are figurative.

You’re welcome!

Shia, Your explanation is appreciated! Will bring up any further questions I have on Islam! God bless you!

False prophecies? The new testament is actually the book that tells of "event of the last days" which are coming to past already.

"nation will rise againts nation and kingdom against kingdom." (matthew 24:7) millions of peple have been in wars during the past century. A british historian wrote:"the 20th century was the most murderous in recorded history. . More than 100 million people have died as a result of wars since 1914.

"there will be food shortages"(matthew 24:7) researchers say that food production has increased greatly during the past 30ys. Nevertheless, food shortages continue because people do not have enough money to buy food or land to raise crops. Well over a billing people have to live on less than a dollar per day. The majority of these suffer from chronic hunger. World health organization estimates that malnutrition plays a major role in the deaths of more than five million children each year.

"there will be great earthquakes"(luke 21:11) according to the U.S. Geological survey, since 1990 alone an average of 17 eathquakes per year have been powerful enough to damage building and crack the ground. And on average, earthquakes strong enough to cause total destruction of buildings have occured yearly. Another source states:"earthquakes have claimed more than hundreds of thousands of lives in the last 100 years and improvements in technology have only slightly reduced the death toll."

"people of the last days"
the apostle paul(whom you so detest) what people in general would be like. At 2 Timothy 3:1-5,we read:"in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here." in part, paul said that people would be- lovers of themselves, lovers of money, having no natural affection, without self control, fierce, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God,having a form of Godly devotion but proving false to his power.
All these thing are already being manifested, and i know you cannot deny it cus it affects you too.

And all that are yet to come to pass will surely do when the time comes. Some are even fufilled, only than you are not conscious enough to observe;or that the grace to acknwoledge it is not giving to you. The bible is the only book that talks the mind of God. And more than 90% of its prophecies had been fufilled.
I just choose to post the event of the days we both are living just to tell you how perfectly precise the bible.
Thank God for technology. Kindly launch your search engine by comfirming these facts.

Are there revelations of things to come in the quran? And how far have they come to pass?

All you posted in your original post are just your misconceptions and misconstrusions. You can never understand their meanings when your mission in the first place was to criticise. The truth will be hidden from the mockers. Only those that are honest will have the grace of its revelations.

yes there are many true prophecies in the Quran and they have come to pass.but the topic here is the bible and not the Quran.open your thread if you want to discuss Quranic prophecy and you will get your answers.

Will be glad if you answer my questions bout the quran here. No need to open another thread. And don't forget that of seyibrown's question bout the quran too.
The one thing you can't take away from the bible is precision.

@seyibrown

i can provide answers, but i will still advice you do some research and if you have misconceptions i can clarify them.i will provide you with the link.

seyibrown:

1. When was Mohammed Born?
He was born on June 13,570 (CE)

2. When was the Quran written?
through a span of 23 years after each event for which verses of relevance were revealed.but we also believe that the entire Quran was revealed to the Prophet himself in one night.

3. Who dictated/wrote/compiled the contents quran?
the Prophet dictated to the muslims the Quran as he had received it from Gabriel.the Quran was written in full on pieces of bones, tablets and on date palms in the days of the Prophet himself.the Quran was also preserved by memory as the muslims labored to memorise the entire Quran.the Prophet had a band of scribed to whom he dictated the Quran and they recorded it.they would recite what they have recorded and the Prophet would approve.after the Prophet's death immediately, Imam Ali,the first divinely appointed Imam and first shia imam, compiled the Quran chronologically with details of the cause and place and time of revelation.Abu Bakr, the first sunni caliph, also made a record of the Quran not in chronological order but on the order of the surah starting with the opening chapter.as islam, expanded more records were made by Usthman, the 4th sunni caliph and spread to distant lands.places were the Quran was written wrong, those records were collected and destroyed in order to avoid confusion.the compilation of Imam Ali was not put into use,but rather the one of the caliphs which we have till this day.it should also be noted that when Imam Ali took the caliphate, and sunnis recognize him as the 4th caliph,Imam Ali did not object to the compilation of the sunni caliphs and he used and accepted their compilations because they were the same with his own, except that his own included details and explanation.it should be noted also that Imam Ali had more knowledge than anyone regarding the Quran and islam generally after the Prophet.

4. when was Islam established/started?
we believe that islam is the religion of all prophets from Adam to Moses to Jesus and to Muhammad.those prophets never gave a name to what they preached because the religion was a set of laws and practices that kept evolving over time.it was only in the days of Muhammad that the religion was institutionalized and formally called islam because all that man needs to know and be guided was revealed.all the previous prophets preached "One God" as their first commandment.when Muhammad's came to an end,we (shia muslims) believe that the Prophet declared Imam Ali as his first sucessor and divinely appointed imam to carry on the task of protecting the religion Muhammad was given and to guide the muslims.we believe there is still the 12th imam who is alive to this day.we believe islam was declared complete when the Prophet declared Ali as his successor in the vent of Ghadir Khum.only Islam in the Quran has a verse of completion:today I have completed your religion and made by favor upon you complete and is well pleased with islam as your religion"(holy Quran chapter 5).another verse says:"anyone who seeks a religion other than islam,it shall not be accepted from him and he is of the losers".

LagosShia, I will appreciate it if you can answer the questions below. I asked Sweetnecta the first four but his answers were not clear. Thanks.
5. Could you please narrate how Mohammed got the the Quran/ directions for prayer ( please correct as appropriate) from Angel Jibril?

He got the Quran in full and in parts.in full to himself in one night and in parts,as it suits the occassion for each verse to be revealed.the direction of prayer was first toward Jerusalem.this shows a connection of the religion and islam to the previous prophets and that was also a time when Mecca was still in the hands of the idolaters and the Kaaba was full with idols.later Muhammad was ordered in the Quran to turn towards Mecca and face the direction of the Kaaba built by Abraham  on the place Allah blessed as the first house of worship from the days of Adam.

biblically turning towards a direction of prayer or (a major house of God) is not new.in the book of kings we read the following:

1 Kings 8:22-44 (King James Version)

22And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven:

23And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart:

24Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him: thou spakest also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.

25Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.

26And now, O God of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David my father.

27But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?

28Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day:

29That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place.

30And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive.

31If any man trespass against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house:

32Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.

33When thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee, and confess thy name, and pray, and make supplication unto thee in this house:

34Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest unto their fathers.

35When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them:

36Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, that thou teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance.

37If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, or if there be caterpiller; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be;

38What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:

39Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of menwink

40That they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.

41Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy name's sake;

42(For they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of thy stretched out armwink when he shall come and pray toward this house;

43Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as do thy people Israel; and that they may know that this house, which I have builded, is called by thy name.

44If thy people go out to battle against their enemy, whithersoever thou shalt send them, and shall pray unto the LORD toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I have built for thy name:

Will be glad if you answer my questions bout the quran here. No need to open another thread. And don't forget that of seyibrown's question bout the quran too.
The one thing you can't take away from the bible is precision.

why do you think using big foul words and describing others in ways you cannot prove nor provide evidence for will prove you or what you believe is true?that is not the way to show what is true.

here is what you have asked for (just a dozen):

FULFILLED PROPHECIES IN THE QURAN

1.) You will surely enter the Sacred House
Truly did Allah fulfil the vision for His Messenger: Ye shall enter the Sacred Mosque, if Allah wills, with minds secure, heads, shaved, hair cut short, and without fear. For He knew what ye knew not and He granted besides this a speedy victory. (Holy Quran 48:27)

The holy Prophet Muhammad (sa) and the muslims migrated from the holy city of Mecca, his birth place, in the year 622 AD at the peak of the pagan Arab persecution with a pagan plot at hand to assasinate the Prophet (sa) which Almighty God exposed.sixe years later,God showed the Prophet (sa) in a vision that he would soon enter Mecca to perform the pilgrimage to the Ka’ba the holiest house of worship in Islam and for humanity.Upon that vision, the Prophet (sa) informed the muslims and prepared them to head to Mecca.while heading to Mecca, the pagan Arabs asked the Prophet (sa) to halt and not continue.thereby,a treaty was signed between the two parties which guaranteed the muslims the right to perform pilgrimage the following year.the above verse was revealed to the Prophet (sa) through the Gabriel to assure the muslims that indeed they will enter the sacred house.the prophecy assured the muslims that:
a.) They will enter into Mecca’s sacred house
b.) They would enter in a state of security, which is needed to perform the pilgrimage rites
c.) They would perform the rituals indicated
d.) Thereafter,there shall be a speedy victory
It is worth noting that chapter 48 in which the above prophecy belongs to starts in verse no. 1 by declaring victory in favor of the Prophet (sa) after the treaty was signed which will ensure the entry of the muslims into Mecca and eventually end with predicting another ( “speedy”)  victory:

Verily We have granted thee a manifest Victory (Holy Quran 48:1)

2.) The people enter Allah’s religion in crowds

When, comes the Help of Allah, and Victory, And thou dost see the People enter Allah's Religion in crowds, Celebrate the Praises of thy Lord, and pray for His Forgiveness: for He is Oft-Returning (in Grace and Mercy). (Holy Quran 110)

In about a year after the muslims performed the first pilgrimage as predicted in chapter 48,the muslims were promised another victory in chapter 110.this time around the muslims entered Mecca in full force with 10,000 men unopposed.this victory witnessed the coming into the fold of islam of people in crowds as the prophecy stated.the prophecy came to pass and the victory was bestowed upon the muslims in the years 630 AD.

3.) The unbelievers will lose!
Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish) better than they? or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? Or do they say: "We acting together can defend ourselves"?  Soon will their multitude be put to flight, and they will show their backs.(Holy Quran 54:45)

In the above chapter which was revealed in Mecca before the Hijra (the Prophet’s migration from Mecca to Medina upon persecution) this verse is promising the unbelievers defeat and telling them that they cannot defend themselves against God.this was at a time when the muslims were oppressed and suffering persecution.indeed the muslims left Mecca and thereafter the Quraish (the Meccan clans) continued their offensive against the muslims.God made sure His promise came to pass as the Meccans were humiliated in a series of  battles fought between the two sides.

4.) They cannot harm you (O Prophet)!
They will do you no harm, barring a trifling annoyance; if they come out to fight you, they will show you their backs, and no help shall they get. (Holy Quran 3:111)

This meccan verse is assuring the Prophet (sa) that the enemies cannot harm.this again was revealed during harsh days.

5.) They are liars:they will not help you

Hast thou not observed the Hypocrites say to their misbelieving brethren among the People of the Book?― "If ye are expelled, We too will go out with you and we will never hearken to anyone in your affair; and if ye are attacked (in fight), we will help you." But Allah is witness that they are indeed liars. If they are expelled never will they go out with them; and if they are attacked (in fight), they will never help them; and if they do help them, they will turn their backs; so they will receive no help.(Holy Quran 59:11-12)

The above verses is promising the Jewish tribe of Banu Nadir that they shall receive no help from the pagan arabs.this was to dissuade them from conspiring with the pagans against the muslims and planning to fight.the verse are explaining that eventhough the tribe is being promised of help and support against the Muslims, those promising them will not yield in the end.and not only that, the prophecy makes us understand that even if they had offer any help, they too would have being defeated.indeed the tribe was defeated and expelled and were not aided.

6.) They will fight you from behind walls
Of a truth ye are stronger (than they) because of the terror in their hearts (sent) by Allah. This is because they are men devoid of understanding. They will not fight you (even) together, except in fortified townships, or from behind walls. Strong is their fighting (spirit) amongst themselves: thou wouldst think they were united, but their hearts are divided: that is because they are a people devoid of wisdom.(Holy Quran 59:12-14)

The above two verses goes on to describe the condition of the tribe and what their attidtude would be like and how they would fight.it also tells the muslims that they are stronger because of divine intervention.

7.) New means of transportation
And (He has created) horses, mules, and donkeys, for you to ride and use for show; and He creates (other) things of what ye have no knowledge.(Holy Quran 16:8 )

In the above verse the horses, mules, and donkeys have being created to aid man in movement and to pride himself.God is telling man that it He who creates other things which man have no knowledge of as at that time.

8.) They shall soon be victorious
The Roman Empire has been defeated―  In a land close by; but they, (even) after (this) defeat of theirs, will soon be victorious Within a few years. With Allah is the Decision, in the Past and in the Future: on that Day shall the Believers rejoice― With the help of Allah. He helps whom He will, and He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. (It is) the promise of Allah. Never does Allah depart from His promise: but most men understand not. (Holy Quran 30:2-6)

The Christian Romans were decisively defeated in syria by the pagan Persians in 613- 614 AD and Jerusalem was taken.in 619 egypt was taken by the persians.upon the defeat of the romans the meccans were jubilating and boasting that as the persians defeated the romans who also claim divine inspiration, they shall defeat the muslims.naturally, the muslims who also believe in Jesus (as),as prophet and messenger of the true God,felt spiritually closer to the Christians and the pagan arabs felt closer to the persians.as the muslims were grieved, the above verses were revealed.the above verses were revealed to calm the muslims and assure them that in a few years the romans shall defeat the persians.in 622 Jerusalem was recaptured by the romans and they enjoyed a series of victories and gave the persians hard blows.

9.) You shall perish
Perish the hands of the “Father of Flame” (Abu Lahab)! Perish he! No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of blazing Flame! His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood ―as fuel!― A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck! (Holy Quran 111:1-5)

The above refers to Abu Lahab (which translates “the father of flame”).he was an uncle of the Prophet (sa) who opposed him harshly and oppressed him. This verse was revealed to show that this man shall perish in hell fire.of prophetic note is the fact that this man’s destiny was already sealed and declared bound to hell i.e. he will never change his ways nor repent.indeed he died without changing his path nor did he embrace islam as some fierce enemies of the Prophet (sa) did.

10.) Space Exploration
O company of jinn and men, if ye have power to penetrate (all) regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate (them)! Ye will never penetrate them save with power. (Holy Quran 55:33)
Have you ever heard that knowledge is power? Indeed we should not only take the word “power” to mean iron and energy but also to mean knowledge.it was only with knowledge that man was able to travel to space.

11.)   Victory for the Prophet in this World and the Hereafter:if you don’t like that “hang yourself”!
Whoso is wont to think (through envy) that Allah will not give him (Muhammad) victory in the world and the Hereafter (and is enraged at the thought of his victory), let him stretch a rope up to the roof (of his dwelling), and let him hang himself. Then let him see whether his strategy dispelleth that whereat he rageth!.(Holy Quran 22:15)

12.) Permission to Fight and Allah is Able to Make you Victorious.Allah is With Those Who Help Him:
Lo! Allah defendeth those who are true. Lo! Allah loveth not each treacherous ingrate. (38) Sanction (to fight) is given unto those who fight because they have been wronged; and Allah is indeed Able to give them victory; (39) Those who have been driven from their homes unjustly only because they said: Our Lord is Allah - For had it not been for Allah's repelling some men by means of others, cloisters and churches and oratories and mosques, wherein the name of Allah is oft mentioned, would assuredly have been pulled down. Verily Allah helpeth one who helpeth Him. Lo! Allah is Strong, Almighty –
(Holy Quran 22:38-40)

In the life time of the Prophet all his enemies were put to shame and were humiliated and Islam was and is and will always be victorious over the haters, liars, and agressors.

I would like to conclude  by demonstrating the importance and the indepth knowledge of prophecies by quoting this verse:

Verily the knowledge of the Hour is with Allah (alone). It is He Who sends down rain, and He Who knows what is in the wombs. Nor does anyone know what it is that he will earn on the morrow: nor does anyone know in what land he is to die. @ Shia militia, why can't u concentrate on ur own religion and stop blabbing. U guys will always say dat Islam is non violent in nature but hav u heard of any religious violence in the south east? Look at the way ur so called peaceful muslim faithful were killing people and burning churches in Iraq. Just imagine what could hav happened if it was done by Xtians.

thanks for your constructive comment.

i am neither a militia nor do i support attacking anyone.it is christianity that keeps knocking on the doors of muslim houses to preach.we are only presenting the truth.those who attacked churches are condemned.

as for your comparison to the south-east,if all the kidnappings, robbery and criminal activities that go on there is not enough to at least make you refrain from attacking others and making a senseless comparison,am sorry to say but you are unconscious of the reality.all the wars fought by muslims and for islam, are imposed from the outside by foreigners who come to steal our lands and resources.palestine,iraq,afghanistan,etc.i am not talking here about imposters like al-qaeda who create trouble in the name of religion.

@lagoshai:Am frankly dissapointed in you. I requested you post some quranic prophecies being fufilled today, but all i get is nursery rhymes. The only notable one is that of the jews losing jerusalem to the arabs, which was eventually regained. And this prophecy was given to daniel and ezekiel close to a thousand years before it actually took place.

It is right to say that the quran was partly curled from the bible just to consent it partially with some meanings. Apart from those,i don't know bout you,but i see nothing but medieval age poems.

with your type even if God is to come down from His throne, you will still be disappointed with Him.

there is nowhere Jerusalem is mentioned in those prophecies.secondly those prophecies were addressed to and fulfilled during the time of the Prophet.the Prophet never conquered Jerusalem.he was sucessful during his life time for as long as he lived against his opponents within arabia since islam had not yet spread outside the borders of arabia but was firmly established.nontheless, the Prophet crushed all his evil enemies; among them were pagan idolaters, jews and christians.

as for your imagination about the Quran, you're free to think whatever you want but you cant prove anything other than talking big and blabbing.that is the best you can do and nothing much because that is how and what you're taught only.

You can't see nothing about jerusalem taken by arabs in your own post? Oh my. . ! I guess what you did was to search, copy, paste and post, without the knowledge of what you're posting? Do yourself a favour by reading before posting your poems in future.

I gave you the prophetic "events of the last days" in the new testament you said is full of false prophecies, events practically coming to pass before our own eyes;and even gave pellucid refrences to secular encyclopedia and tele media comfirming the same truth of these prophecies. I asked a simple quest for you to do same from the quran, but all you posted was some legendary tales and poems to back them. Is no effort at all!

There are so much more in the new testament. The ones i posted was delibrate, because they are happening before our eyes now. No wonder nostradamus had to use the bible for the backing of future events revealed to him.

blah blah blah!

we are here talking about the true prophecies in the Quran and given to the Prophet.not some misguided arab king or dictator who lost wars.
not interested in drifitng the topic.
using the same approach i pointed false prophecies in the new testament,a "holy" book.false because they are bound by time and attached to some individuals and the time came and the events did not happen and those people passed away.you can put on your glasses to read them well just in case you are short-sighted.

i am talking here about the false prophecies.i am not interested in who nostradamus is or what he did or the prophecies that came true from the old testament.i am talking about a particular subject.those false prophecies are evidence that the bible is not completely divine and man has tampered with it.

For the fact that you're making such dastard statement, even though your claims shows you don't uderstand what you saw,but came out anyway to flaunt your parochial sense of reasoning on a public forum.
You did not reason from what you observed, but, rather, observed whatever you had already reason. Its going to be a tardy effort making you realise this, but am sorry i can't make such sacrifice. Your case is way over me cus you brought the topic as a challenge, and not to get some views and explanations about the topic Peace!

stop proving your so called "truth" with grammar and big talk.that is all what you have gained from your pastors and religion merchants.

bring forth your proof and show the evidence you have.i have done that.counter my evidence if you can.the evidence is from and in your bible.

@Daylae: After Spanish Inquisition, Europe was almost of Muslims. Spain at least was. She set out to conquer the rest of the world; taking over south America, as we can see, all catholics, and of course the faulty claim that the continents of America were discovered, as if they were not inhabited already.

In the 1800s onward, Islam began to return to Central Europe. Today, Spain herself knows that Islam and muslims are with them. America, Brazil, Venezuela, Canada, just to name a few countries of the Americas have standing Islamic presence. Europe already conceded that Islam is there as permanent feature. No all muslims are foreigners and not all foreigners are muslims.

The renaissance of Islam in the world is in Surah Nasr. Its a small sural and you should read it. It could be titled "Victory or Success" in your English Quran. Only few verses in those among the last 15.

People are coming in into Islam. Including Igbos. That is a prophesy that is happening, today. That alone is enough.

But the brother, LagosShia provided tons of them. If none of them wakes your mind up, and people entering Islam as we speak does not, then no one is responsible for your decision.

And mr. daylae should defend the unfulfilled statement/prophesy of the NT like Jesus saying that he will return even while some of the listeners, disciples were yet alive. Jesus never returned to earth since, and unless there is a disciple or a listener to that statement of Jesus is still alive, how is this not an unfulfilled or failed prophesy?

There are tons of them; a quick one is that those disciples will even do bigger/greater miracles than Jesus. By extensions some christians have argued that the statement of "doing greater miracles" covers them. I have asked somebody to do one of the following since Jesus didnt do any;

1). Get an amputee and grow the limb lost.

2). Raise a dead and keep him alive till after your own death, or until the last man on earth.

3). Create a man from say dirt, or anything you wish him/her from, use a chair or goat, if any is readily availabe to you.

4). Keep yourself fro death. Be the last man/woman on earth.

^^ Every prophecy in the bible must come to reality even in their own time. And not all will be giving the grace to see and understand them.

Even though every prophecy about the birth, life, and resurrection of christ was fufilled in him before the eyes of the religious mogul of his days, they still believe he was not the promised messiah. And a good number of jews today are still waiting for the prophecy to come to pass, still waiting for the coming of the christ, even though all was said and done over two thousand years ago. Not everyone will have the grace to see these prophecy coming to pass. And not everyone will understand even when they see it with their own eyes.

The Judeo/Christian Bible is a corruption of stolen material that has been used to spiritually enslave humanity. All of the legends of the Gods are allegories. The Vatican and its cohorts have gained wealth, power, and control by forcing people to believe these allegories are literal places and characters. angry angry angry
