Who To Blame - MTN Or Gtbank? by Nobody: 4:25am On Nov 03, 2019
I tried to recharge my mtn line on Saturday evening via 737, while it went through successfully, but I didn't receive the recharge.

So, I repeated the transactions about 4 or 5 times, only to start receiving all the seemingly failed recharge by mid night.

Isn't there a way for these companies to employ artificial intelligence (AI), so that the system can detect a repeat transaction?

This is one thing I love about Twitter, there is no way you're going to tweet same thing by mistake, even if network is bad! It will simply return "Whooops! You've already tweet it"! cool

I think it is your bank's fault and the issue of this AI I don't think this useless good for nothing banks will integrate it into their system not until they are forced to do so because they indirectly benefit from this glitches

Since it display successfully then its the bank fault, it might be as a result of poor bank network to process the command given by the mtn network but due to the urgent need you keep repeating it... I always experienced this but for me it mostly says "service unavailable" or "service time out" and due to the urgent need of the airtime I can try it thrice and later have all the card rolling in.

Here's what I think.

You contacted your bank to release fund so you could recharge your MTN line. The bank said ok we would do that and inform MTN to update your line (or something better). MTN would send you SMS to inform you that your line has been updated with #100 recharge grin.

But you didn't get that from MTN right? Simple.

In troubleshooting, this is the approach... LIFO = Last In First Out.
Start backwards. Contact MTN customer care.

Why did it take the bank so long to send the transaction alert too?

The alert entered as the recharge was credited at mid night, almost after 6 hours I dialed the code.

the AI suggestion is a good one. If anyone knows how to develop algorithm that will help in achieving this, maybe the person should make a proposal to them. You never can tell...!

Even USSD does the one minute wait stuff! But AI infusion would have been better, as that can detect duplicate transactions irrespective of timing! Especially, if the transactions have not been successfully completed from both ends! cool
