Dear Black Boy
Dear Black Girl
The odds seem to be against you
Why this society, why this Family?
With these hardships?
Why this mother?

I know mother loves me
I know she cares about me
She has to, she just has To!

But Why is she the way she is?
Well it is what it is
She is a warrior too, a fighter
I know what she has been through and what she's going through
It is not easy for mother,
So I must show great understanding and insight
My job may be bigger than me,
But I must rise to it anyways
Delinquency must rise and go
The enjoyment of youth be sacrificed for now
My dear compatriots, we will not be going merrying as often as we would like to

Let my hands and body work
My mind Sound and Alert
My heart aright
And if the sun should shine, I will make hay

Mama and Juniors let us enjoy the journey
Because the journey is the story
Let us enjoy the journey to a better tomorrow.
A happy son makes his mother happy,
And a happy mother makes a happy Son.
Let my younger ones see and learn

A happy family can be ours,
A happy Family shall be ours! smiley

Went to see ma yesterday Sunday, I was hungry, go suck ma tit. Ma's telling me I should be eating only vegetable like her. She said she never ate meat, not since she was young and used to wrap her meat in paper and hide it where ants would eat it, I should manage the small chicken she has. Took a while to remind ma she used to go stock up on cow leg and fuku and saki and edo and chicken legs and salmon heads at Dalston Market, that's what she calls it though it's actually Ridley Road Market. Ma would buy so much meat her freezer would be full she'd have nowhere to put it have to give us children.

I'm sending this to ma. It rightly crossed all we said! Let her know I too will eat only vegetables when I'm 80 like her.

Thank you oboy. 2 likes for you!
