The Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, says he and the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party will present the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Douye Diri, and his running mate, Senator Lawrence Ehwrudjakpo, to former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Dickson, who stated this in a statement on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Fidelis Soriwei, said the move was “a mark of respect” for Jonathan.

Dickson, according to the statement, said the decision to present Diri and Ewhrudjakpo to Jonathan was due to the “high respect” he had for him as a leader.

The governor, who made the statement when the Ogbia Restoration Caucus visited him for an interactive session on Sunday, said the presentation of Diri and Ewhrudjakpo would take place at the earliest convenience of the former President.

Look at the developmental strides in Akwa Ibom and Rivers (even though more could still be done there). Bayelsa and Delta are clearly suffering from failure of leadership!

Former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is an elder statesman, he just brought up a suggestion to the incumbent governor to take but the governor only took the decision that will be best for the state and party, someone who will be able to stand the opposition. So he didnt stampede the choice of the former president, please note it

After disregarding Jonathan for years, it is now the desperate Dickson have “high respect” for Jonathan.

The reality of losing is scaring the hell out of Dickson. He is bribing anyone that cares to collect.

Is it the same Bayelsa that I am right now or another Bayelsa. though Dickson has more infrastructure as a Gov than Sylva. but there is nothing beautiful about it.
