Google has indexed your number. It could take months before the phone number stops showing whenever you search. Do a Google search on how Google indexing, crawling works.

This is a serious security breach, one of the reasons Facebook CEO was grilled by US Congress sometime ago.

Nairaland programmers can do better to protect users' privacy info.

Just deactivate you account and it will disappear within few weeks

Simply delete those posts but you shouldn't worry if the number is /will not be your private number
Anyway nairaland don't have delete button yet but you can.

Since you've modified the posts with your number, all you can do now is wait as Kevoh rightly mentioned.

However, if someone else has quoted any of your posts with your number in it, you'll have to ask them to modify as well 'cause that one will keep popping up.

When writing your number always space them out like this. Google won't find you this way.

It’s very likely that some of the posts have been quoted by others , that way you can’t delete them . But the moderators can . So, message the super mods and ask them to delete for you.

I have deactivated multiple Nairaland accounts in the past. And merely searching the right keywords on Nairaland or google always show me the topics from those deactivated accounts.
Anybody that is not new on Nairaland would have come across posts that will show “nobody” as the poster. Those people deactivated, and that’s why it’s showing “nobody”
