First of all, this is not a religious post. So whatever arguments or point you want to make, it should be based on what the law says, and not what is morally wrong or right.

Many formal institutions, like schools have a defined code of conduct. Which is why when a teacher or lecturer breaks any, he or she is usually subjected to a disciplinary action.

Unfortunately, the NYSC's code of conduct for corps members during the three weeks orientation period does not carry 'Having Sex' as a ground for any form of punishment.

I can't remember anyone asking me to fill a form, with a promise not to have sex, while I was about entering Black Gold, Kaduna. Why then do I hear stories of NYSC members being decamped for having sex in camp. Some even go as far as saying, '... she's even a married woman.' Are they not two consenting adults? Married or not.

In my opinion, no laws were broken, and they don't deserve to be decamped.

What would a company do if their employees where involved in sex scandal even though it wasn't stated in their by laws?
