cmon man, make a portfolio!!!!!!!

then create a site or forum where you can display your portfolio, if possible nairaland (dont forget to watermark oh as we get plenty alibaba's and alladins) or even facebook and if your work is good you will be contacted or you can make it into a dvd and ship them off to major companies like silverbird, mtn and such. do that and you are one step closer

Point is, most of these companies will just short cut you when they see that they can have other options that will favor them, so i would not mind if i can get a direct contact (an insider kind of a thing). it makes my labour have a direction, at this stage one shuld not just throw things in the air cos what you think you are a master at, you will be dazed at what another person would make out of it. But sha, i will still see what i can do bout the DVD's maybe i'll right protect them or something, thanks brov, but will not also mind if you get connections ooo i fit do some jobs free then get paid latter if the bargain is good

Then aim to be the best in your game, so that companies cant afford to do without you, the problem with most nigerian animators and artists (including me) is that we just finish a job and we slack of and possibly post it a million times, while serious one's will continue learning improving and studying. if you say you are not good enough paste your jobs here to get feedback or you can paste on deviant art, when you get good enough and make ur portfolio and reels you will certainly get snapped up.

Also it helps to also watch other top artist and their workflow, currently I have one that is in the US that is tutoring me on 3D for free (lucky me!!!) the guy is a crazy animator and if you see his animation you go bow.

Just work hard, play hard and enjoy learning and you will be a big fish in a little pond. or even better a whale in a tear drop
