You should get off nairaland and call jumia customer service number on your reciept to make a complaint and also inform them of your intention to return it.You have just 7 days after the day of purchase to exercise your right to return the phone.

I went online and they said it’s likely gonna ne s manufacturing’s hardware error

I have called them yesterday and the person i spoke with said she was going to note the complaint down. I doubt if she did because I didn’t get any email notification to that effect

Just go on Shipito, register a free virtual address, then go to UBA and order for a virtual credit card, then go on apple store, order the phone directly from Apple. Send it to your virtual address. Shipito will ship it to you after you pay the shipping fees. Simple as that. Bruh don’t fall for all those support a Nigerian Business, it’s all bullshit. They won’t listen to u now the phone is defective. But if it’s from Apple, I swear to you replacement is instant

Flash it! But there is high chance of getting Error - 14 which is the most deadly error...

Error - 14 is NAND issue...

Meaning, your NAND (Hard disk in layman's tongue) is faulty or not contacting properly to the PCB (Panel) due to rust or loosed connection..

Lemme give you an advice as someone that orders from jumia very well.... In jumia.. there is warranty on most device bought... Either a year or 2 Years... The warranty is not for you to damage the fone and run back to jumia... The warranty is that if the phone if handled with care, in anyway starts misbehaving (like in your own case)... Then you go back to jumia pickup station where you picked it or you contact them if it was a door delivery.. they will tell you what to do and they will inspect the phone if truly they see the phone didn't spoil from you own doing but on its own they will change it for you to another same device.. if the same device is not available they will give you a better advance Device of the same brand .... Also Jumia does refund policy especially if it's within the first 7 days you bought the phone from them....so i will advise you to do this also......feel a refund form on jumia page stating your reasons why or you contact jumia customer care with ur order number asap.
