I strongly bliv in Jesus Christ and I do bliv God exist and does wonders but my faith is different from all Dis spiritual Dis, strange voice Dat.

That was the essence,is do your personal encounter..not for frivolity..it is for your inner spiritual freedom..the Muslim do it..they called it Alluah..where they locked themselves inside no sun..you can actually feel it..it I unexplainable experience..Not about you walking on the water..We have different spiritual gifts,to enhance yourself you may need it..it is not the general one going for 70 days with noise ..If can go for a day..I hope you have a great testimony than your previous one..

Have you heard of Bro Yun the author of Heavenly Man, he fasted without food and water for 74 days and nights when he was in prison (you can browse the internet for more). Jesus Himself said we will do more than Him because He is going back to the Father..

John.14.12 - "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

Did anyone really fasted for 40 days in the Bible?

There were three records of forty days and forty nights without food in the Bible:-

Moses
Elijah
Jesus

None of these three men intentionally ignored food, because that's what sustains our physical body!

So if God decides to sustain them without physical food, it hasn't become a custom for other faithful servants of God!

Jesus' contemporaries called him a glutton because there was never a time they invited him that Jesus will say "I am fasting" he always devour whatever you set before him!

Showing that the forty days and forty nights he spent without food wasn't intentional, God decided to sustain him for those period just as he did with Moses and Elijah!

So if you want to know the real meaning of fasting, go and ask the TRUE Christians (Jehovah's Witnesses) intentionally going without food means nothing to God now!
