If you've been diligent to your career through learning and selfdevelopment, if you've mastered what needed to be, if you've got the business idea, then you're ready to have your business and use public job as a side hustle. What da heck, government jobs are side hustle after all. |

Even if the private sector job earns you 5x of the public job, please go for the public job. If only I had the knowledge of what I have 20 years ago. Do you know that children of big men with 1st degree and M asters from foreign Unis now work in the public with the intent of working up the ladder? No wonder senators children and their ilk will not work for Zenith and co but will prefer NIMC, PENCOM and the rest.? Finally, be rest assured that most of the advise you will get here are from people that have not even started the journey? Shine your ears. 1 Like |

Place B is better cos place A can fire you on the spot for making any little mistake. Trust me , I'm a living experience. Plus you still have side hustle so wht are you confused about ? If place A or B decides to free you suddenly, na that side hustle go dey bring food to your table oo. So go for a job that will give you time for ur extra income. 1 Like |

Leave place A for place B. Place B is a public sector and there is hope for increment and flexibility to run your business alongside your job. Private sector in Nigeria is not reliable, management can wake up tomorrow and decide to change their mind about employees. Public sector is secured and convinient for people that have side hussles. |

I will advice you to face government job and your business and also develop your self so you can climb up the ladder in the government job and also find loan to invest more in your business. Private sector holds no future, the ones that deduct pension won't remit it. Think of when you retire, it's your business and pension and gratuity that you will fall back on. Just know once you choose private, that's the end of your business. |

Having time to develop your own Business should be the basis of your Decision. Since Place A pays More and it will give you time for your office. Think of how long you can stay there before going fully into your business E.g How much do you need to add to your business to stand well? How long will it take you to save the money from your salary on Place A? Job Security in Nigeria is a scam,Check out Nigerian Pensioner and you will think beyond that Having Financial Peace is different from Job security!!! Be an Entrepreneur and you will have financial peace. My Humble Advice |

It depends on where you get the highest level of satisfaction. Holding on to a job just for the security is a trait of people with no skills and value addition assets. |

I understand how being in this situation can be...although career counselling and coaching is somewhat unpopular in our society today...you should consult a counsellor or career coach on such issues...they will help you reasonably... However, let me help you expand this a bit; You seem to have passion in your business somehow and if you invest time and resources in it, it will yield multiple folds. And only place A will give you time for your business....Also, place A pays you 60k with increment promise. Place B pays you 31k, though there is security and promise of increase Now in making your choice, if you must leave one, I'll say you should think of job fulfillment (which makes you more fulfilled) & salary, including the one that will help you attend to your passion or business. |
