I made a transaction from my Firstbank account on Konga on 14/10/2019 and was debited #20,400, but Konga did not receive this money as the transaction failed. I have filled many complaint forms, called Firstcontact more than 10 times, but every time I call, there's no trail that my complaints have previously been lodged, so it has been hard for me to track the progress of resolving the issue.

Each time I call Firstcontact, I hear the same generic answers from their agents ''We're working on it and there should be a resolution in 7 working days'' and then the 7 working days expire and I still don't get a mail or message informing me of how it is progressing. I have spent over #20,400 the amount in dispute on calls to Firstcontact as I don't reside in Nigeria.

I am really upset about this level of unprofessionalism from this said bank as I expected an auto-reversal which did not happen and now that I have lodged several complaints and yet no one is paying attention to me, I will have no option than to take legal action against them and claim damages.

Firstbank is one of the worst banks that exists in 2019. Take that from me.

Bro if you have to take legal action against them, pls do. I stopped using them 2years ago when they keep charging me anyhow, any transaction I make, I receive multiple debit alerts and I get charged for SMS alerts for the errors. I complained and nothing was done. There was a time I was very broke, my sis sent me money, I went to the ATM to withdraw, that was how the machine didn't dispense cash and I was debited, till date that matter has not been resolved. First Bank is not a trusted bank at all.

Bro copy and paste this complaint on Twitter. Tag @cenbank and also tag @firstbankngr.
If you were in Nigeria I would ask you to visit you’re nearest central bank and lodge a complaint at no cos your money will come back to you. If they delay you stand to gain additional sum as compensation.

OP, don't mind those asking you to complain on Twitter. The Twitter account handler will only ask you to send email to First Contact (I am speaking from experience)

The solution is to enter a branch and make some noise. Believe me, they will treat your case at once. Better still, call First Contact and ask them to send mail to the unit in charge.

First Bank is getting worse with each passing day. Payoneer-to-naira-account that takes GTBank 24 hours to process will also take First Bank 2 weeks
