Earlier this year, I went to process some documents at a ministry and this particular woman in front kept asking me to pay to photocopy her own Oga’s letter to the person that sent me. I could see the photocopier but then I still paid. Came back the next day to finish the documentation and this woman refuse to hand my documents to me, mtcheew.
I called my Oga who inturn called the other oga. Well right there, he scolded her and gave me my documents with sorry and lunch money to cool my temper.

Last I went there again, a guy was in her position.

Bravo if we continue like this things will change for the better. If you love your job just do what you're employed for not to sit about practicing witch craft of sitting on people's files and demanding bribes.

Ofcoz, if there was no evidence she wouldn’t have been sacked. There was a cctv camera that captured all that ensued. That lady was damn rude to me that was why I didn’t bulge when she was begging me to reconsider and as for the protocols of sack it was duly followed apparently it wasn’t her first time and my letter jacked it up. Peace
sassysure:

If u sue the university, the lecturer will not be sacked for negligence of duty. He will be warned, warned again, queried, another query, panel will sit and debate on his case, then vote, and sack letter if necessary.
There are protocols.
They will sue sometimes and win.
U follow protocols.
Sometimes, they suspend and then call back or sack.
When u don't do that, it's also abuse of office from your angle.

Sorry for what happened to u but that is how it's done.

Although private organisations do sack as they deem fit but they still have labour policies that protect employers else people will abuse it.

That was why I said the lady shouldn't be sacked. Unless someone is lying somewhere, that lady may not have been sacked. That reason holds no water in the court of law and the public service code.
U don't recklessly abuse your power because u want to punish a junior officer. The tides will crash against u if the junior officer has more muscles than u.
U follow due protocols.
As long as it's firs, or any public organisation, even the military, u don't sack because of that. It's impossible.
If the person is known to always do that after severally warning and queries, most times, u set them up with a stronger case and add all to push for the sack.
Most times, they are transferred. Its done a lot in firs, nepa, custom, police, all these big parastatals and agencies.
I know the system so well.

Remember, if the person is giving a query, she may deny what she did. Do u have evidence? It's a job seekers word against the staff.

Heartlessness and Nigerians are five and six. You could have corrected her but the Nigerian in you won at the end of the day.

It's good she got sacked because such individuals are corrupted beyond correction. Let the remaining staff remember the incident and take their jobs seriously, going forward.

PS: That 'Nigerian' in you all is the reason why they take your tax money & treat you worse than excrement.

I went to pick up few envelopes at Oshodi NIPOST this week, and they acted swift. Only that I had to pay N400 (which was the only money on me then) for the three envelopes while another person paid N200 for his (I guess one ✉️).

Although I don't know what are these costs for since the merchant charged me for shipping already.

Despite govt stopping all cash payments with them?

NB: NOUN is not helping matters in customer services. Maybe one will be used as a deterrent.

Please take several seats.

Your type is the reason why we have widespread indiscipline in our systems. If she can't do her job well, she should be sacked and let another willing person take over.

When she was tearing the letter and acting all bossy, she never thought about the consequences cos she felt she was untouchable.

She should go home and sleep in hunger. Rubbish
I still de vex with her sef, I will still look for where she lives and still deal with her at home. Nonsense

She should have thought of her family and the bread she wins for them before behaving in an unprofessional way. Left to you, nobody should face the consequences of their actions, we Pardon trigger happy policemen, pardon dubious officials, pardon the people they're supposed to serve?

We need reorientation in this country. There is a difference between mercy and duty...
