Quote me and come back to to argue this by January 2023

Governor that's thinking like the Mayor of London but lack the skills.

Brighten up Lagos first and you see obedient compliance

Lagos and wrong priorities!

Leave religious organizations alone and dont subject them to another set of bribe-collecting officers who will start to extort in the name of registering places of worship.

It is a NONSENSE move.

Somebody, please tell me, with their so-called ROAD WORTHINESS certificate, how come the ricketty danfos and cars and trucks are able to get on the roads? They dont even see the vehicle before they certify. It is all about the MONEY they want to collect.

This is how subtle control of religious institutions come in place.

They shouldn't stop here, they should start dictating order of events during services.

They better start dictating it.

During my neighbors late father's burial in one Church like that, they collected 11 offerings.

Its a good idea but should not fall into the hands of the anti christ else, The evil plans of this administration against Christianity will be actualized.

They will soon pass a legislation in Lagos for pastors to get license to preach which is renewable on monthly basis.

Misplaced priorities from an Olosho Commissioner! angry

I disagree with your opinion sir. Some Churches don't have more than 20 worshipers, and u find more than 3 churches in a street, and sometimes same brand ,
With this they merge and have more worshipers

Edit: I only disagreed with word "misplaced".

It is very necessary for the purpose of maintaining sanity.

Too many churches and so much noise, as well as so many pastors defrauding or molesting girls. It helps to have a data base to maintain sanity.

At least, when these churches have been captured, it would be easier for these churches and government to work on certain issues, especially on the issue of noise pollution.

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State needs to copy this also. They church groups should first register with Christian Association of Nigeria or the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Corporate Affairs Commission and also the state governments, listing their activities in detail. This will help to checkmate stories that 'touch the heart''.

Let's begin with public tax review of all industries owned by politicians first to test their complaince ratings with societal expectations, after then, we can move into regulation of religious centers.

It's foolishness,no more no less.Even the infrastructures left to this State is in decay now, example is light up Lagos and for this reason armed bandits are now every where.
Is this part of how infrastructures grow in Lagos?.Let the Government put it in votes to test their popularity for this suicidal contest.
Are we really running out of ideas on how to run the State?
Is freedom of worship not guaranteed in Nigeria Constitution or why can't Lagos be made a Model of gratitude and greatness, creativity, smartness, development?.Must we joined bandwagon that lead to nowhere?.This Lagos State Government decision on religious matters may affect it in the long run.

Space is scarce in Lagos so I wouldn't expect less.

But, religious places (especially churches) can be a serious nuisance.

Imagine our house in Lagos, there's a church opposite it, another behind it and there's nasfat on the left. On the right there's a residential building, after that building there's another church.
Kilode?!

And you can trust that all these churches will do vigil at least 3 times a week. And these vigils will be with sophisticated microphones, drums, pianos and speakers.

Please don't try to visit us on a Sunday morning, you won't hear anything. Nasfat sef will join the jamboree and... Imagine how messed up the whole place will be.

And the house is even in a close (cul-de-sac) which is supposed to be a serene place.

I suggest that they even control the number of religious centres that can be available per unit radius (or something similar).

Then they should set a minimum size that a worship centre can have so that it can serve all the people in it's environment. Land is too scarce for all these noisy mushroom worship centres.

As a GIS expert, I, in collaboration with town planners, can help them execute this fine plan.

If there will be another church or mosque apart from the central one then they must not use megaphones or microphones.

The central mosques should use speakers for only official activities (5 daily prayers and Friday prayer) not even their Sunday asalatu.

The official church should use speakers only for official activities (Sunday service).

We need sanity in this country.

I can't keep quiet so you won't classify yourself with the wise. Can you read the biased solution you proffered up here? In your problematic proposal, Mosques can make noise five times every day of the week, while churches can only do the same once a week.
