treating it as some form of secret and sacred act for so long create a mystic air about, then came the sexual revolution with Advent of technology, people are now free to engaged in what was once kept special.
now to the issue of control you mentioned, i think the best way is education. i mean people should learn to see it from a biological stands instead of the other way around.
