The delegation was welcomed by the state party's chairman *Hon. Sir Ndubisi Nwobu* and his 12 member state working committee. *Chief Okey Aroh (Ike Abatete)* who made the opening speech on behalf of *Dr Maduka's* entourage said, he's choice to align with *Maduka* is borne out of the sincere interest of getting *PDP* back into power and delivering purposeful leadership.

*Dr. Godwin Maduka* said it is timely to frontline the interest of the people by demanding good governance. He said, individuals who single handedly transformed communities, invested in human capacity development, and has a consistent record of translating big ideas into solutions, should be encouraged. *Okosisi Orumba* urged to executives to listen to the yearnings of *Ndi Anambra* and be steadfast, committed in the discharge of their tasks.

In a closing remark, the state Chairman encouraged *Lion of Africa* to continue being consistent and committed as a partyman. He stressed how important taking over Agu-Awka is to the party, assuring all of a level playing ground that will present the best candidate.
