Quality Of Life, Nigeria And The Diaspora by invisible3(m): 8:45am On Nov 25, 2010 |
What are those things Nigerians in Nigeria enjoy which may not be available abroad or what are those things which Nigerians living abroad enjoy that we back home cannot get. No harsh words please. |

Re: Quality Of Life, Nigeria And The Diaspora by invisible3(m): 9:11am On Nov 25, 2010 |
bandiejay: But I think they enjoy all those amenities because they pay so much for it. Is it not better Nigerian govt increase prices of rates and bills for amenities with an attempt to improve the quality of amenities? |

invisible!!: So you don't think Nigeria govt can improve the quality of amenities without increasing prices of rates and bills? |

Re: Quality Of Life, Nigeria And The Diaspora by invisible3(m): 9:25am On Nov 25, 2010 |
UNLEASHED:The constraints will be there. What we need now is privatization which may also increase prices after the corporations are taken off govt hands. Its wishful thinking to believe the govt will continue to fund and subsidize everything and still keep those amenities competitive. We need to do the GSM model from NITEL example on Nepa, Water boards, Roads etc. |

UNLEASHED:Why the harsh words? Cant Nigerians argue constructively without hurting each other? |

invisible!!: Firstly, they don't really pay that much for amenities in those places. What they pay a lot of is tax. In the UK there is PAYE, council tax, road tax, and what have you. I'm not sure the water bill, electric bill, or gas bill is that spectacular. If you use a lot, you tend to pay a lot. Paying tax is also good, at least the British government provides healthcare to its people, unlike Nigeria and other African nations. The money for that, for the dole, for pensions, etc., has to come from somewhere. |

invisible!!: Invisible. I guess you may be giving the run around on this issue but from what i can see, i know many nigerians in the Diaspora that believe in enjoying the best of both world ie Abroad and Nigeria. so they live abroad but frequent nigeria like 2 to three times a year to enjoy all the wonderful things the Nigeria has to offer, hmmm Nawaoo (My Neighbour comes to mind, a very well to do Nigerian businesman married with three kids whos eyes cannot stop looking at young african girls b.o.o.ty!!! (excuse my french!!!) so this business man goes to Nigeria 2 to 3 times a year for business & BIG PLEASURE! and when he back he tells me all his "Living it up stories from Lagos to Abuja to Port-Harcourt!" lawWd have mercy, well he is literally in Nigerian for 3 month in the year and in abroad in the UK for 9 months so he is not missing out on both sides!, The amount of Campus girls this my Neighbour has slept with was sure to catch up with him as one of the girls he was playing around with back in 2008 from UNILAG is now At Coventry University doing her masters and keeps on calling his "AristO-Line" asking him for money and fun!LOL!!! Meanwhile she is being sponsered to study at Coventry University by a "Political Suga-Daddy lol!!!. She is now a pain in his side and to him she is a greedy girl as she lives in a 3 bedroom modern apartment at Chelsea (when she is in London) paid for by her Political Suga-Daddy ROFLAMO!!! Anyway Invisible I just stressing the point that some Diaspora peeps are in and out Of Nigeria soo much that you can’t really tells where they live!!! |

@martinosi, I feel you, but what of people that roll around evereday with the blessed biatchesses and not just 3 months. Its kinda expensive to maintain a relationship in London (my thoughts) with all those foreign currency as opposed to just naira. |
Re: Quality Of Life, Nigeria And The Diaspora by martinosi: 5:54pm On Nov 25, 2010 |
invisible!!: I understand, that why my Neighbour is dropping that Naija girl at Coventry University like a hot iron!!! she is just too much to waste time & money on and she too close to home (So he tells me) He likes the "Mr Biggs" "Tantalizer" "Chicken Republic" Naija/Campus babes that he can spend N1,500 Naira on, give them "Trinkets" from the £1 pound store he bought for them and then they are hooked for the rest of their uni-days till they finish school lol!!! (So he tells me) But anyway he and his Married Nigerian friends have formed an Aristo boys CO-OP Club (He says they are about 25 members or more) where they contribute £2 pound a week and when any one of them is going to Nigeria he takes a percentage of the money for"Aristo-fun" These guys are really serious about this!!!) and when that guy gets back he is under obligation to share the picture and phone number of the girls he "Bleeped" so that the other guys can enjoy them when they go to Nigeria Sounds crazy but hey he has shown it to me, WONDERS WILL NEVER CEASE AMONG NIGERIANS. What is strange he tells me is that when he goes out with his Corporate/Banker friends in Naija the girls all seem to want to sleep with him Is this the Abroad effect hmmm well i guess maybe soo, But the guy needs to calm his player life style down, its not good.!!! |
Re: Quality Of Life, Nigeria And The Diaspora by invisible3(m): 9:16pm On Nov 25, 2010 |
martinosi: Its the 'abroad' effect, I remember one babe that told me she loves those men living outside the country, according to her, if the guy is paid only 100 thousand pounds as he was paid in Nigeria (the guy was abanker in naija), She pulled out a calculator and told me to do the maths. I couldnt shout! Thats why girls run after abroad guys. |

Invisble do you get off ? talking about Nigerians in the Diaspora? |
Re: Quality Of Life, Nigeria And The Diaspora by martinosi: 4:57pm On Nov 26, 2010 |
eghost247: I have come to believe through experience that when some Nigerians live abroad they become more daring and more bent in their ways. When i told this 49 year old guy with a wife & three kids (My Neighbour) to stop all this his chasing of young african girls (Not only in Nigeria, but he does it in London and how his wife does not know is beyond my comprehension), He looked at me with disgust and said "Oh Boy leave that ting, make i enjoy nah, they r available and i am willing" Its soo hopeless as i even see guys on the plane when i travel to NIgeria as we land in Lagos, putting in their Ntn sims into their phones to tell their "babes" that they have arrived (Give me a Break!!!) He did tell me though (my Neighbour) that he father had 23 children!!! so i always wondered was the "play-boy" spirit in this guys genes!!! |
