Some people have given up the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. We should keep on encouraging each other...
Hebrews 10:25 CEV

Thanks for the opportunity to share some of my thoughts.

I believe we need more meetings where we actually encourage each other

This may sound strange as we already seem to have frequent mega-meetings, but I ask: how much encouragement happens at such gatherings?

It seems today's meetings hardly line up with what we see in the Scriptures where people studied together, built each other up, corrected each other, and even went back home to re-check the Scriptures confirm if the apostles were telling the truth.

Of course it's easy to quickly blame the demagogues who convene today's pseudo-meetings but what about the ignorant people who eagerly support them?

Thanks again. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...

This because we have been doing church instead of practicing ecclesia. This is a problem that have been developing for the past 1,500 years. I wrote a post about it here;

Thanks for sharing

I think your article is spot on

I particularly like your imagery of gold miners panning and sharing the unsearchable riches in Christ

That's MUCH better than the shallow "Turn to your neighbour and tell him he is blessed" that seems rampant today

Thanks again
