The Biblical Jesus Told his Disciples to Take a Donkey and Colt Without the Owner's Permission

Matthew 21:1-3
As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, 2saying to them, "Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. 3If anyone says anything to you, tell him that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away."

I don't think that Jesus' orders were ethical at this point. You must ask the owner for permission to borrow something from him or at least buy it or rent it from him. Some will argue that Jesus needed the donkey to fulfill a prophecy. But why would God want Jesus to commit a sin in order to fulfill a prophecy?

Lol!

You needed an incomplete account of the story to justify your lies.

Here's the complete version:

Luke 19:30-35 (KJV)

30 Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.
31 And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.
32 And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.
33 And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?
34 And they said, The Lord hath need of him.
35 And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon.

So your lies got blown up right in your face.

1. Jesus didn't tell them to take them without the owners consent.

2. The owners consented to their taking it!

No! firstly they never sought permission to enter someone's compound!
Secondly, he told them to untie the colt without permission!

According to that book called Bible and the other book called Qur'an, Jesus is a MIRACULOUS prophet of Allah!

So if Jesus asked his friend to go untie a donkey and even tell them how to respond if anyone should question them, it means the owner must have been a friend of Jesus from who Jesus have asked of using the donkey before then!

If my own father (who is not a prophet) asked me to go and bring a car packed in front of someone's house and also tell me "this is what you're to say in reply to whoever question you regarding the car"

My friend, i'll confidently go straight and bring the car even ask for the car key from its owner!

That's just my father who is neither a prophet or priest not to talk of a prophet of Allah whom the Bible and Qur'an both confirmed that God empowered him to perform great signs!

Do you think Allah is not capable of providing his prophet with hundreds of donkeys if the need be?
So what's new if Allah's prophet asked his friend for a donkey?

Please my friend, stop exhibiting this immature attitude, you're indirectly insulting the intelligence of renown intellectual scholars in Islam! undecided

Where is the verse that they were friends?

Luke 19:30-34

The owner challenged them and they told him "the Lord needs it"
Do i need someone to tell me that the owner is a stranger to the one called "Lord" yet he allowed them to take it away? undecided

That's a perspective from your ignorance of the truth.

The owners knew Jesus, but they didn't know the disciples. So their reaction proved that what Jesus did was not without their consent, and must have been an arrangement between them.

Only someone like you who have no knowledge of such arrangement can misinterpret it to be a theft.

So don't involve the owners in your exibition of your ignorance, for they are not with you on this.

Even if they know him. He should have seek permission before untieing the colt.

It is what it is.

This doesn't prove "they" know him.

My baby Muslim friend, i never said "THEY KNOW the owner"

Because if they(Jesus' followers) knew the owner, Jesus need not add saying
"if the owner question you"

Why will he question his fellow believers in the name of Allah for untying a donkey?

Are you insinuating that Muslims (believers) don't trust themselves?

For him to have done this, it means the owner is not a stranger to Jesus (who is called Lord) it's his followers that do not know all their fellow believers in the prophet of Allah! Luke 9:49-50

Hmmmmmmmmm please stop insulting Islam, there are intellectuals in my former religion (Islam) who will effectively answer all these your immature questions? undecided

No! I am talking about courtesy here.
Can your friend enter your compound and drive away your car in this way?

The person chatting with you is not Islam. So much of your intelligence with name calling!

It depends on how important your friend is to you Sir! cheesy

I'm telling you now that if Aliko Dangote should enter the compound of Femi Otedola now and pick a Toyota Camry saying
"I need it",

Femi will gladly ask his friend

"but that's two small for your caliber, my friend please why not take the Land Cruiser instead"

Be rest assured that it's Otedola that will be begging Dangote to pick the best.

Why?

Because of the level of their friendship!

You even as you're trying to deny Islam now, what will you have done if Muhammad walk up to your car and enter with the intention of going out with it?

You need not respond Sir because that's what every Muslim will gladly welcome from the prophet of Allah. So what happened in the Bible was no difference! smiley

Sorry I don't buy that! Dangote would have send a message ahead. The security would be aware someone was coming. No sane person would barge into someone's compound and take possession of one's property before asking for permission!

Nothing concerns me with your Islam talk. I regard that as your diversion tactics!

Well that is how you're taught in your own religion Sir!

But as true Christians, we were taught to SHARE even if our brother in faith comes down from an helicopter and walk towards our Murano, a Christian will say "you can have it for as long as you wish my brother"

That's how we will joyously live together with hearts full of kindness freely in Paradise because we came with nothing and we can't take away a single pin!

God bless you! smiley

Using 21st century standards and laws to judge events that happened in the 1st century. Quite a nice way to fit in square pegs in round holes.

There’s no offence committed here as far as I can tell. No theft.

Unless you want to go into the details of the Mosaic law relating to treating the property of others to confirm.

Jesus didn't ask for permission and though the owner did not complain really, we can't follow this example as it is against common sense, rude and prideful.
