Feminism is a social theory or political movement which argues that legal and social restrictions on women must be removed in order to bring about equality of the sexes in all aspects of public and private life. That's the essential truth of it. People who fight for women's rights are feminists, for example in Saudi Arabia, women were just allowed to drive cars recently, and in many other places the rights of women, and in many other places like that women are unjustly treated one way or the other and that's what true feminists fight against. Feminism doesn't say women shouldn't get married, it doesn't say you shouldn't cook for your husband, it doesn't say the roles of a wife and husband should be switched, it doesn't say that women should not clean their home, it doesn't say that women should not have sex with their husbands, it doesn't say women should dress indecently, but it does say that women shouldn't be forced into a marriage, it says that the place of a woman is not in the kitchen and she can pursue life goals, but if she doesn't cook and her husband doesn't know how to cook and they can't afford a cook they will starve, it says that women can provide for the family if the man isn't capable and she is free to go out and do what she wants, it says that a man can clean and a woman can also clean if they both wish, it says that a woman can have sex, but if she doesn't want leave her, or it is rape even if she looks like it or wears revelling clothes, and it says that women are free to dress how they want without oppression of any kind, and most of all it says that a man and woman should have equal rights. Therefore I'm proudly a feminist.
