Thursday, December 26, makes it exactly 674 days since Leah Sharibu along with other girls, precisely 110 of them, were abducted by terrorist group Boko Haram in Dapchi, Yobe State.

Although her mates have since regained freedom, Sharibu has however remained in the captive of these devil’s incarnates because she refused to renounce her Christian faith.


Now joining to lend a voice to prevail on the Nigerian government to advocate her release for hostage is former spokesman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Timi Frank.

Frank, taking a queue behind Reno Omokri, former Special Assistant to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has joined to the crusade to advocate Sharibu’s release.

According to Frank, with the continued hostage of Leah Sharibu in hostage, Christmas should be a time of sober reflection for Nigeria.

“While we celebrate yuletide season, it is important for us to remember Leah Sharibu and others whom she represents who are currently held hostage by Boko Haram.

“Buhari’s government like any other around the world has a responsibility to guarantee the safety of citizens.

“What is expected of Buhari’s government is to negotiate Sharibu’s release, so she can reunite with her family,” Frank concludes.
