I was totally disappointed and shocked yesterday when I discovered that my classmate who is now a banker has also joined 'Marlians'. He actually made one of those silly posts on Facebook.

Spits! That some Nigerian youths have this deluded artist madman as a role model is what I'm still shocked at.

OP, their way of life is their choice... Freedom of expression... If you don't like it, it doesn't make it bad.

Smoking is bad, people like it, some don't.
Tattoos, poison the blood, are hard to remove.... Some people like it, other don't.

Don't force your opinion on people, while I detest marlians, I can't force anyone to forego being a marlian...

We have really lost it. I pity this young generation. Why can't they have Otedolians, Jim ovians, Soworians, wole soyinkans, Oyedepoians, Oyakilomians. Na one stupid idiot will no future ambition them go follow. It's a shame and that's why the government has NEVER involved the youth in governance because they are not serious

Marlians are a bunch of people who do not have a mind of their own. They have been waiting all these years for someone who will come and govern their thinking. It's just a state of low mental self esteem. If not someone will not just wake up from somewhere and start a movement and intellectual humans will buy it all...

Except of course those who are just claiming Marlian for the fun of it...

This is exactly what was said about Fela by your parents and his peers, but today, he's the most impactful artist that ever came out of Africa.

Naira Marley has a right to conduct his affairs and anyone above 18 years old also is responsible for their choice to be a Marlian. Stop blaming parents or Naira Marley for decisions of other adults

There are some ideologies that don't fit a person's lifestyle. So most times when people speak against these things it's for those who are towing the wrong part but don't know simply cos they are carried away by crowd mentality. I won't tell a boy who decides to smoke weed, dress funny, or keep some funny hairstyle to stop cos I don't like it. I even have friends who do and we are cool but if i see one of my friends who's brilliant or talented but decides to drop it and pick up some ideologies then I would talk...so enjoy your lifestyle but if it's not your way then realise asap and turn back. Don't be carried away by all these short term craze that fades after a few months at best...even badoo sneh was once the reigning ideology but today it's Marley...

I don't take alcohol. I'm jobless today and I have time for nl. It's comments like yours that amuse me and help me keep my time occupied. But I see that u are already mentally drained by my reasoning and can't keep up intellectual reasons why u need any puta or whatever to have self esteem so you use the easy way out by bringing up beer and random thoughts about confinement.
I hope this challenges u so we can talk more

Aproko OP, wetin concern you with how people choose to make their hair or live their life?
Are marlians not 100 times better than the sai barbarians that litter the sphere of this country?
Yet you have never for once raised concern over this.

Lol.....one stupid idiot who has made more impact on Nigerian youth that you can never achieve (positive or negative, i dont care)...

I am sure if naira marley decides to be a good guy tomorrow, he would still make more positive impact on the youths than those judging him..

Try and have a positive impact that would negate naira marley impact... instead of judging and calling him stupid idiot...

It's a pity you're giving this subnormality amongst young people a nod.
Is there anything good in this crazy trend that's gaining wave?.
Let us join hands to promote modesty and good manners and not to yield our voice to this rubbish because what may not be your business now will somehow, someway be your business soon.

SMH! This is why we aren't progressing in this shit hole country... So Op, a person's hairstyle defines who the person is abi? Its you and your likes that are in Nigerian Police force harassing young people who have Dreadlocks or Tattoos on, labeling them Yahoo boiz, Cultists or Armed robbers... Just few days ago, we read a news on Front page about how a Nigerian who is a Police officer in the US says he was harassed when he was on holiday in Nigeria all because he had braids on. Someone who still works as an officer in US despite his braided hairstyle... I have been to the US myself and South Africa. These countries are well advanced in their ways of life. Despite the fact that South Africa is an African country, they have refused to remain in the stone age we are in this shameless country called Nigeria..

Op, better change your mindset. Because with many individuals like you in the society, we can only keep going backwards in this nation instead of progressing. A man's choice of dressing doesn't really define his real personality.... SMH!
